Great video

Nice to meet you onionberry. I enjoyed watching this video. I have to say this is the only NX video I have seen that is rumor and hype free. It's so refreshing to watch, like sitting on a beach looking at the ocean.

What do you think about Nintendo changing their color back to the old red logo? Does it mean they are ready for console war?

Part of me wishes that Iwata hadn't said anything about NX at that DeNA event. If he hadn't, I bet we wouldn't hear as many "rumors" as we have today. Nintendo better break its silence soon so the rumors can stop. At this point they're doing more harm than help. The 27th is coming up soon, I hope we hear something from Nintendo.

The problem is, when Nintendo reveals a new system they never talk about the system specs.

I don't really agree with the premise of the video. People have expectations for the NX ... so what? That's inevitable.

If Nintendo can't excite people when the product is eventually revealed ... it's because they'll have made a crappy hardware product ... which isn't impossible seeing the generation they're coming off of, so I don't neccessarily even see being skeptical as an illegitimate POV.

If tomorrow Blackberry says they're working on a new phone, I can be skeptical that it will be successful because Blackberry has been having its ass handed to it by Apple and Google for a while now.

If they didn't say anything about the NX, I think there would be rumors that Nintendo would be giving up on hardware altogether.

That'd be quite silly though. Sony really didn't say much about PS4 and nor did they give time for people to speculate or hear rumors about the PS4. But I don't think people thought Sony'd be leaving the hardware business. It's quite foolish to assume something like that from a company that has sold over half a billion hardware units. Not to mention, a few months after Wii U's release, Miyamoto and Iwata said they were already thinking about the next hardware project, cementing it way before the DeNA event.

Yes, great video. I know it's fun to speculate on things and think about this and that or how cool something would be and so on. I like doing that myself, too. What I don't like are people who a) believe everything without proof, as long as it hits their taste (and they even defend those rumors vehemently), and b) people who know everything better and debunk every rumor by what seems to be higher knowledge without having any proof. This video brings as all back on the base which is good.
