Definitely look at our historical records and look beyond the one global event, there are many of them. Hell, are you even aware of the Volcano and Ecuador that just went off? Believe me. We're fully aware of that. Again, the sheer number of refugees is the problem. It's not possible to have an effective integration at this rate. And now US wants to increase bombing in Syria. That'll only lead to even more refugees in Europe. We're a US allied and therefore we're responsible for helping the refugees whose countries "we" are bombing.

It's far too easy to sit in the US telling everyone how things should be done and far too often advice from the US is something similar to yours: "Just send all refugees to Turkey." We're not ignoring the problems as you claim. We are trying to improve the current circumstances.

Political discussion has always been part of vgchartz since its creation. Some (I'd even say most) of the greatest and most iconic threads were made in the off-topic forums long before you signed up to this site.

What you're asking is akin to telling Nintendo to drop their third party support completely to prevent violent games from scaring potential customers away. It's ludicrous through and through. Some people like talking about video games, some people like talking about politics, a lot of people like talking about both. So why is it that you insist on keeping people away who don't necessarily want to talk about video games all the time? Some OCD-induced desire to keep the forums "clean"? Fact of the matter is that more diverse topics bring in new users while stubbornly sticking to gaming alone would hinder growth, just like Nintendo benefits from offering more diverse titles from different developers.
