I would absolutely not be even remotely surprised if this were true. But there's a lot of rumors suggesting it's not.

Gee, hopefully this is not true. It would go against the claims of a more powerful CPU and GPU. I wouldn't make sense to have 720p games on a 2016 console, this would be nuts! Unless the dev is lazy/don't have enough budget to do a good port. I don't know...

I didn't realize so many devs were willing to violate NDAs and risk getting caught by Nintendo to keep the flow of NX rumors coming, how generous of them.
