You're being silly.  We know roughly the average ratio large scale games sale through via digital distribution.  There will be outliers but rarely by a great amount.

Silly statements deserve silly responses.

We don't "know" anything, as everything is always variable and changing in an industry that's constantly changing as much as the gaming industry. It's all speculation and slightly educated guesses, which, in the end, don't really mean anything.

I suppose you're right and Activision, EA, Ubisoft, and Take Two are just making guesses.  They probably wouldn't know how many games they've sold, right?

So, you're on a sales forum where you say no one knows anything, not even publishers, so there is no use in talking about it ... why are you here, then?  If the goal is to simply act petulant, you can do that on Gamefaqs or in Youtube comments.

I'll go with Ratchet and Clank.

Considering that Ratchet and Clank has two separate week 1's I will go with R&C as well. Week one in the US alone is 190k. When we get the numbers for Europe they will probably be around 200k. R&C will easily take QB for week one.

So its technically decided now. right? Wasnt R&C 50k apart with just the US? Once rest of the world comes in it will more than double it.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

And remember QB released in Japan but R&C didn't. It will only make a small difference but still relevant.

Anyway Vgchartz are only estimates so we need to wait for NPD. But it's looking very good for Ratchet from those estimates!

The QB sales numbers are low. Tomb rider deja vu maybe. Is this what happened: X1 version sales was impacted by people waiting for Windows release in the hope of a better experience, and now that it is out, the issues with UWP just stall the sales alltogether?

According to this podcast (the guy talks to Insomniac employees), Ratchet had the best first week in the series' history.

The series has never been front-loaded though, in fact it rarely sells particularly well FW or even first month. But based on its insane performance at retailers it's looking fairly likely that Ratchet wins for sure now.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

Bigger userbase with a known and loved IP vs one that has a smaller base and a new IP, pretty obvious who's going to win, rinse and repeat for any new thread.

The last R&C sold 0.67 million. It's not exactly a huge franchise. (But I wish it was)

It used to be bigger back in PS2 era, when sony had the platformer trinity (Jack-Ratchet-Sly) then it got saturated with spin-offs. Anyways if you're referring to Into the Nexus, there are reasons why it didn't sell that much.

Well less than 28k in 5 days for QB in UK

More than 36k in 2 days for Ratchet in UK.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

If ReC did better in UK, no fucking way QB Sold better WW...
