I ended up doing it in Pearl back in the day but haven't really cared to since. I'm currently planning on rebooting up my Omega Ruby save file this summer after not touching it in forever and completing the pokedex.

Never and I don't think I'll ever try to do it.

I almost did when I was a kid with Pokémon Blue. I think the only Pokémon that I couldn't feasibly get was Mew. This kid on my street had even borrowed a Game Shark one day and he was offering to trade me one but my parents wouldn't let me go out because I had homework to do.... :/

I've complete the National Dex up to Black and White 1. After that, I stopped caring with X & Y. It wasn't hard for me. Since I had most of the events. Transferred over to each game. If I needed a certain pokemon. I'd load up the game. Cattch it. And migrate it over all the handhelds. I still will start up my R/S/E games to do stuff.

Only the Red, but very close in gold. Never attempted since.

Only once in Pokemon Red. Doubt I could ever do it again, though having access to Pokemon Bank & the Global Trade System does make it a bit easier.

Was really close in Yellow (missed only Mew). In Crystal I missed Celebi and Mew. Can't remember Smaragd.
But in Platinum I got the complete Dex thanks to Global trading. In Black I got bored before finishing the collection and I skipped X,Y.

However I was very successfull in the spinnoffs. Got all Pokemon in the 3 Rumble Games I played.

Got all Pokemon in the 2 Link Games I played. Got every Pokemon in the 2 PokePark Games.

And I am on a good way in Shuffle and Picross.

For the national dex, I was getting close, transferred ten years worth of Pokemon, 670 different species, more than 50 shinies, all event mon outside of Volcanion and two boxes full of EV trained mon from the Pokebank to my Alpha Sapphire to get them recorded in the dex and then when I went to move them back, AS had disappeared from the selection options. Try to start up the game, "Your file has been corrupted, please see the manual for instructions." Me, a twenty year old man, damn near broke down in tears. So many god damned hours, gone. It was enough to put me off playing Pokemon for more than a year.

Then after Yellow came out a couple of weeks ago, I played through and caught all 151. Felt good after sixteen years of playing to complete at least one dex if the universe didn't want me to do the full one. ;o;
