I really love this game but Mario Galaxy 2 is the best 3d Mario ever made for me :p

Nah, as far as 3D Mario goes, Sunshine still takes the crown. It added the water mechanics, a superb place to explore and features some of the best platforming sequences in videogame history.

I really enjoyed 3D World when I got it but it had no real staying power for me...
I prefer SM64, the Galaxy titles, and might even like 3D Land more...

Well I wouldn't say is the best, that one is Galaxy (1&2) because it was more way more innovative and it fullfils all its big ambitions with a wonderful elegance.

But mario 3D world has a brilliant level design too and also way better controls and the best multiplayer ever in a platformer. I think is better than Sunshine and way more fun to play than Mario 64 nowadays.

And yes I know is a joke, but your joke has a lot of truth in it.

Nostalgia makes me like 64 and Sunshine a little more. Nevertheless it's a great game and it spawned a wonderful little spin-off.
