Forums - Gaming Discussion - All Future Forza Games Are Coming to PC and Xbox, Microsoft Confirms

I think this is fantastic news. Not only is MS competing in the console space, but they are also going to compete with the big fish in the sea like Steam, and to be fair, as a Steam lover for the past decade, it’s really going to put Valve on edge which is fantastic because Steam doesn’t offer their own games at the same quality as MS. Not one racing game on Steam or even in the gaming market tops Forza in my opinion and with the additions of KI, Quantum Break and future XB1 games coming across, Steam can only compete with the same games that will most likely end up on XB1 or Win10 anyway.

This pushes Valve to focus on Exclusives and maybe even their own.
I am looking forward to seeing Valves counter, hopefully a Half Life 3 to compete with Halo 6. What a day to be a PC and Xbox gamer.

Valve, did nothing last year, i think that they may have something to release this year.

You simply aren't considering how different the X1 and PC audience is. People keep saying things like Xbox sales are going to be "severely compromised" but you can't explain why extremely popular console games are also on PC.

WIth your logic, many people would play popular console games on PC instead and not buy consoles.

The bar of how poor X1 will sells keeps moving up, so that's good. Early on people said X1 will fail like Dreamcast, Gamecube, now we're up to N64 (32 million). If MS plays their cards right maybe X1 can sell as poorly as SNES.

Well, i honestly didnt see any comparison early on, but the current sales are clear enough.

The Xbox One will never achieve the Xbox 360 sales, not even close.

Why is it that the Xbox One having "The Best Line-Up in the Entire History of the Xbox Console Family" (for 2 years in a row) is struggling to keep the pace of the 360?

It started great saleswise, but now? Not so much. Why is that?

A console doesn't need to achieve the sales of the last platform to success. For a example, Vita selling 40 million would have been a great success. Wii U selling 50 million would have been a success. 3DS is doing well even though it has sold significnatly less than DS. PS3 sold well even though it was significantly less than PS2 (but it lost billions of dollars).

X1 sales have been steady YoY thus far. Also, lets take into consideration much of the 360's success came from horrible decisions made with PS3. Now PS4 is benefitting from bad decisions made with X1.

Vive and Steam Machines has been Valves focus so far. Hopefully MS's push with quality Xbox games will push Valve to start making games again. Something i have been asking for years.

Remember that i made a Bet with you ?, that it will sell less than Genesis, The Console already have 2 Drop YOY, in a Row, in the last 2 Months, before those announcements, and it droped out of Amazon top 100's Weekly Chartz, the sales are decreasing, even with Quantum Break, and with a Official Price Cut, they don't have anything on the Horizon beyond Gears of War 4 (that maybe will launch on PC), to push Sales, if Sales are down this year, and the Generation will be shorter, i don't think that it can have a YOY Up again, if   it continues to Drop YoY, on USA.

Exclusives comiing for PC, can mean a Devaluation of the Xbox Brand, and this is a bad thing for the ones that supported the Brand since the Beggining of the generation, and before Microsoft, announce those policies.

They said less than 3-4 Months ago that Exclusives was the most Important thing on consoles, with the "Biggest Line Up Ever", and they pushed the midia for "PS4 Has no Games", only because don't released a Triple A Tittle on the Last quarter, this was a Very Fast change of directions, i think that the "Biggest Line Up", was Microsoft's Last Attempt to push the Xbox One, now they will just focus on PC, and eventually push some Minor sales with Xbox One.

We made a bet? I gave you a prediction and you know X1 sales are more dependent on the holidays. The other guy aruging with me also think X1 will sell better than Genesis. He thinks it can do N64 numbers. :-p

I don't think MS said "PS4 has no games." Perhaps they felt their line up of games was better, I agree. But this is subjective.

Meh, I'd say the 360's success was through its online infrastructure, releasing an entire year earlier and halo 3. As soon as the PS3 came out people were doom and gloom, but it practically outsold the 360 every single year it was out.

And PS4s success was carried momentum and xbox failure at the beginning. After that it's due to the whole resolution/frame rate and being the more attractive system that will beat the competition even if it costs more.

Has the Xbox Division made any money ever? I honestly dont know, i remember that i read somewhere that it never has made a penny for Ms.

If it never made money selling 90million consoles the gen before, id say that this gen it wont be making any money neither.

Drastic changes will happen, as far as i know, the PC fusion has affected the Xbox brand tremendously.

Xbox is down YOY, on USA, in the last 2 months according with NPD. no precisely data was leaked, USA, is their biggest Market, with more than Half of their Sales, if is Down YOY, there, is much worse Worldwide.

Our Bet was, The Xbox One, will sell less than Genesis/Megadrive Worldwide, in his Life-time sales before the Next Gen (made by me), and you said that Xbox One, will sell more than All Sega's Consoles Combined, in the End of his Life-time.

So the Saturn + Mega Drive + Master System + Dream Cast, sold over 9 + 32-33 + 13 + 9  = 63-64 Millions, you think that Xbox One, will sell more than all Sega's Consoles combined, that is over 63-64 Millions, in his life-time.

If the Xbox division never made money its because of OG Xbox losing so much. With that said, PS3 lost much of Playstation's profits.

Xbox 360 was profitable inspite of the red ring problems. X1 isn't sold at much of a loss and they haven't lost a billion dollars because of some major hardware failure. So X1 should be finaically worthwhile.

You keep telling me PC is hurting Xbox brand with no proof. If Xbox sales decline I would sooner blame other factors.

You're looking at months, I'm looking at years. 2016 isn't over yet.

We didn't make a bet. You don't get anything if my prediction is wrong. My prediction is 50-60 million.

Maybe this generation will be longer than expected with upgrade consoles!
