Forums - Gaming - Most disappointing game this generation for you?

The Order 1886. I enjoyed it, but it could have been so much more than what it was.

Resident Evil Revelations 2. Almost no bosses, forced split screen, awful Barry and Claire implementation. First Revelations was better in any way.

Looking back so far, probably Destiny. The game had a lot of hype, good FPS mechanics and a well-crafted universe but the end-result was ultimately a repetitive grind-fest. Not a bad game by any stretch, but a lot of unfulfilled potential.

Mario Tennis Smash Tour and Resident Evil Revelations 2

Splatoon and Halo 5.

I'd love to love in a world where The Order was amazing..

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

The 3DS library in general. I mean, its best games are not bad at all. But with the exception of A Link Between Worlds, I expected more from them. Everybody talked about how great the 3DS catalogue was... and compared to the DS one is pretty underwhelming.

Not into handheld gaming, but I think the DS fad will fade away soon.

The DS fad? What fad? The DS line has been around since 2004. How is that a fad?

Anyway, since I avoided most of the overrated games this generation, my big disappointment was the Castlevania game on the 3DS. I guess I shouldn't expected so much given that Igarashi and his team had nothing to do with it but I still thought it should have been better than what it was. It wasn't bad but definitely not memorable and a huge step down from the DS Castlevania games.

It was amazingly good looking? Does that count for much?

Halo 5. The campaign was just... Not what I nor many halo fans wanted. To be fair it was ok. Problem being ok isn't good enough.

I tried to like the mp too but after reach (dmr bloom still haunts my nightmares.. Don't get me started on Armor lock..) and to a lesser extent, halo 4, I just lost faith essentially and struggled to get back into the mp after the brilliance that was and is Titanfall. Just not into mp as much as I used to be either. I'd greatly place the blame on those 2 games for that. Ok... I'm ranting now.

Nvm, I'll say Halo 5.

It's touch screen! Biggest tech fad ever!

I was disappointed by the shadow of mordor which was critically well acclaimed
