Utterly ridiculous. 500 GB consoles are already looking obsolete, and we may need larger spaces than 1 TB now...

Why are they obsolete? just connect a cheap external usb3.0-drive ($50 - $100) to the XBO and the "problem" is fixed... you even get faster loading times this way. The upgrade situation is much better than it was with the Xbox360.

They're looking obsolete because they're just not enough space these days. Games are getting bigger in size and 500 GB no longer seems like a viable option. You can stick externals on it, but who wants to do that: paying extra for more space and sticking them onto your console? Imagine if you had to move around your console as well, with these things attached? It wouldn't be very fun for me.

Really? An external hard drive is smaller than a controller. Some are much, much smaller.

Most aren't moving their console around every other day either.

Thats true, but i think it just shows that the original "XBox One, the only box you'll need" and the ability to not allow you to change the internal disk seems at total odd's with their original ideology.

I've had to move one of mine a bit because it had netflix on it, haha. I wouldn't to want to worry about keeping the externals attached while moving it around.

And I still wouldn't want to have to attach extra space onto. The space provided in the console should be enough.

Yeah, glad they put the streaming option in there, otherwise no buy. Looking forward to it and hope its not glitchy.

Well, if you were doing it just for Netflix, you wouldn't have to.

I have to agree here. I don't have a problem with external but the option would be nice.

Ah, ever tried to film with 4K camera? For one minute of film you need 5 GB one hour is 300 GB...

Funny that ten years ago I got a xbox 360 with 20 GB and felt like I never need to upgrade...It's crazy how fast it goes...

I don't really know how externals work on consoles. I don't have any on mine...
