Takes place over one night? I like and hate the sound of that at the same time.

Seeing as they renamed the dev 'The Coalition' MS want them to be making Gears of War games for a long time.

Doesn't Resident Evil 4 take place over a single night? Game starts mid-afternoon, by the time you get to the castle it's night-time, and by the time you escape during the ending its morning. I don't see it being a bad thing honestly.

Hopefully the plot has more depth than this. It sounds very boring. Then again the first Gears of War didn't have a very good plot at all, nor the series in general. The gameplay however was top notch, regardless of what people want to say.

Gears always did take survival horror elements. So I am curious to see how this turns out. Resident Evil 4 was a major influence for this game. It's no secret that Cliffy B was a Resident Evil fan.

I'm excited for this. The Coalition knows that they need to make it unique and stand out from the others. Judgment didn't do so well because it was trying to be the same, with lower quality. With larger funding and some core features to make it stand out from its predecessors. Gears 4 could end up being very good.

I really don't understand where this ''survival horror'' BS has come from. A few dark levels, gory deaths and mutilated corpses does not make the game horror.

Gears is a shooter, and its fucking perfect at what it does. Fuck with the formula, you end up with G:Judgment....

God knows how this is going to turn out. Not liking the style of this, from the ''Gears of the Galaxy''characters to the ''Gears in the woods'' story. Its all BS to me.

Gears 4 will be an Action game with horror elements included in it. Just like Gears 1 atmosphere was.
