And Microsoft wonders why no one buys their Windows Phones ...

Considering my HTC One M8 for Windows has equal or higher specs than a good amount of the phones on this list, it feels like a slap in the face that they would refuse to officially support it. It doesn't bode well for me ever getting a Windows mobile device again.

I doubted it since the beginning but this still manages to surprise me a bit. I guess for some reason I was expecting them to keep their promise at this point. Not my problem though; I have the Android upgrade problems instead.

I'm a WP user but not by choice. My work has gone for an all windows environment, so I have no choice but to go with Windows mobile. So that makes me part of the small user base, but in no way am I loyal. But do I care about not being upgraded to Win 10? Not a bit. Do I care that they failed to keep to a promise? No I don't care, because #companiesbreakpromises_bigsurprise

I do think people who bought certain models on the legitimate (at the time) understanding that they would get upgraded to Windows 10 later on have a legitimate gripe. Such people should have the option of a free switch to a comparable handset that will upgrade to Windows 10.

Did actually stop to take a check on market share before clicking submit... yeah 2% market share for Windows Phone OS (could be wrong info, was the first handful of images from google I checked, sorry if tis misinformation or there are infact fans of it here, love me some Win8 on my tablet, can't imagine using it as a phone OS compared to Android).... if that figure is right it's lower than Symbian? the OS found in the sexy N-Gage! (can't be right)

The high end phones should have longer support. Windows Phone will fail eventually, if they keep this up.

You could make a long list of reasons why people don't buy Windows Phone and that would be pretty far low. Given that's a similar problem Android and iPhone have.

I think the biggest reason people don't buy Windows Phone is because they made a push into the smart phone market too late. MS could also try harder on software support.
