Haha, thanks for the concern Inigo, but I know what it means and am sticking to it
The 2 most recent chapters have been bare minimum and overall unenjoyable to read, but have to be done because the hole has been dug and now Komi just has to go with it. There's really no need to read them again and they just roll the story along. Even the tease about Onodera was pointless and nothing. Throwaway. And I can't help but feel it shows Chitoge's faults here, because she wants to think she's being selfless, but she's being the opposite and cowardice. She can't even cheer them on or confront it, and just runs away instead. I can get not telling Raku, but telling no one, even tsugumi, who is the closest person to her? This all just comes off as really dumb, and is really just causing problems for everyone than helping. Heck, Raku will probably think she's stupid as well in the next one. If anything, Onodera is being the selfless one here.

No...what I mean is that by definition, that phrase doesn't really make sense. If you just think about it, you can't "throw away" this chapter and tell the same story. You might think the events are illogical, or might not like what's happening, but that's honestly beside the point. Like it or not, these events are critical to the conclusion, and can't be "thrown away". I'm not sure how you can throw away a chapter that you admit is "rolling the story along". If anything, it's the silly slice of life events from earlier in the manga that fall under that phrase, even though they were mostly fun to read.
Sorry @_@ But semantics really bother me.
And obviously hindsight is always 20/20...but based on the tone of these events, I think it's clear that Chitoge is being a bit irrational due to how hurt she is. The more people she talks to, the more likely someone will try to stop her, and more importantly, the more likely her own reasons for leaving will come out. There are definitely things she could be doing differently, but above all, she wants to dissapear so her precious people can be happy, without having to see them herself. Being a third wheel is clearly crushing to her.
I know I've certainly been in situations where I just wanted to ghost away without saying anything, and so seeing an emotional teenage girl do it in this scenario seems completely understandable. It's a very human way of thinking...and I honestly much prefer seeing characters act like this over perfect ones that do everything right. It helps me relate more to characters when they act human...rather than when they act like...well, characters.
Anyways, I suppose it dissapoints me a little our opinion on the last few chapters is so drastically different, as this arc has so far been doing a great job for me at setting up the conclusion. Last chapter in particular had one of the most emotional scenes I've seen in the story so far. Can't be helped I suppose...I guess we're reading it for different reasons.
