Forums - Sony - PS4: Sony Confirms 2016 Release For Horizon - Zero Dawn And The Last Guardian

Major exclusives on track

Sony's press conference at the Game Developers Conference today was all about PlayStation VR, but it did take a moment to commit to 2016 release dates for The Last Guardian and Horizon: Zero Dawn. While this information is not exactly unexpected, it's been a while since we heard about either game, so it's nice to hear that both titles are still on track.

With Uncharted 4: A Thief's End also set to release in May, it's shaping up to be a big year for first-party PlayStation 4 games, which is refreshing after a couple of dry years. With the likes of No Man's Sky and Ratchet & Clank also in its stable, the platform holder will be feeling pretty confident about the coming months.

It's only March, give it time

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Good to hear, but I don't really think that this far ahead they would say if things were looking more like early 2017. That said, if they don't release those two games for the holidays they won't have much.

...

Believe it when I see it. Not that it matters to me that much, I'm way behind on releases anyway.

Certainly hope so. Those would complete the PlayStation's year for me: (Street Fighter V, Ratchet, Uncharted, TLG, Horizon).

Today just went into overdrive. I've got to hand it to Sony this generation, they're timing and promotions have been spot on.

They still would have GT Sport, Dreams and maybe Gravity Rush 2, so the lineup could still be pretty decent. But those mentioned in OP are definitely the one I'm most looking forward to.

GT Sport would work, only thing I think would have the impact of either of the two games in the OP.  Love Dreams and GR though, really enjoy seeing any videos I can of making things in Dreams and Kat from GR is one of my favorite new characters in recent memory.

Yeah it sounds good and I am super excited BUT I will not get my hopes up just to be safe lol. Even though if they got all those out this year then next year I could pray for a LOD2, TLOU2, a new God of War some stuff like that lol.

GT Sport has already been confirmed for VR, so OCtober may be a good bet for that one. Dreams could be awesome with VR too.
