This is the silliest post I've ever seen. You've bought and tried no games. And want to know if this was a good idea.... :-|
No. No it wasn't. Just like jumping into boiling water just to see if you want to get back out is not a good idea. Only do it in the first place if you have a good reason.

If i say, every game from now on that you think you're hyped about is actually crap... will you stop gaming?

Cmon... don't let others tell you whats worth playing.

But if people say "the music is lame and the story isn't as interesting" and those were things that really stood out for you in the previous game should you stalwartly pay 60 bucks to test it out yourself because you can't let others tell you what's worth playing?  Seems like an expensive way of thinking.

Yes.

It's not that expensive aslong as you don't get excited with every single game. Seriously, i have come across games that i loved and reviews said were terrible. Theres also games reviews say are great and are actually boring messes.

My point is, no one can tell you if you yourself will enjoy the game. You have to use your experience and the footage you see to make that decision yourself.

In the case at hand, i have found Xeno X as fascinating as its predecessor. Yes, its less about this great narrative and more about making a living in an alien planet, but both engage you in their activities and reward your gameplay.

I can give more examples. For example, Bound by flame is a game universally panned by reviews. I played it and found it to be one of the more enjoyable RPG experiences of the last years. Incredible feeling, great music, challenging and rewarding combat. Only sin was it wasnt longer (budget issues ofc).

Another example... the Order. Universally panned by the critic for beeing short... actually an enjoyable experience.

Yeah, if you go by what others say, you will definity save more money, but you will also definitly miss out on some great games. Very simply buy the games you think you will enjoy regardless of reviews. If you don't enjoy use that experience from the work of that developer for next time.

By that logic, people should buy whatever they're remotely interested in. Probably not the best way to go about buying video games, unless you've got some serious disposable income.

Reviews and opinions from people who have played it are valid reasons to base not buying something off of. They shouldn't be the only thing that factors into your equation, but if enough people are saying that something you really care about in a game is a disappointment, you shouldn't straight up ignore it either.

You yourself should know what types of games you enjoy. If i'm excited to play something, no dumb review is gonna stop me from playing it cause i know what to expect. For example, Dynasty warriors 9 will probably be critically panned and i will still be excited to play it. Because different people have different opinions, you should foster your own and not other peoples.

This thread looks rather dubious to me.

As others have pointed out, even on a system with a smaller library it's unlikely you'd be able to find only one game you wanted to play. The Wii U's library is small but widely regarded as high in quality otherwise.

I've got to assume, OP, that you've either somehow managed to avoid reading the Internet in the past four years, or you weren't being serious when you made this thread.

I don't think it's that unrealistic. Some people just don't have the time/money to play a lot of games, which is of course even more of an issue for multi console owners like the OP.

Multi platform console owner first world problems xD i also game on vita and 3ds so im quite stretched

Why'd you get a Wii U, then? I've limited myself to only one console this gen (well, not counting PC) because I know I won't have time for more than that when there's work/relationship/other hobbies to contend with.

That being said, if you're for real, you should tell us what games on Wii U you're not interested in and why, as well as perhaps telling us some of the other games you do like. I'd be incredibly surprised if there was absolutely nothing else on the console you like.

I can't blame Ninty in Wii U's failure, when customers such an idiots. In case it's not trolling thread.

How can you not want mario maker, DKC:TF is a delight, unless your not into platformers of course!

I wish I had the same issue I always want more... there are many games you can buy on Wii U but I don't think this is the real issue - yes sell it will be better for everyone - so someone that wants to enjoy the system for real can buy it cheaper!

Switch!!!

Btw if you're gonna sell it you better do so asap. I imagine it's already difficult to get rid of, and that it'll only get worse once the NX is revealed, especially if it has backwards compatibility.

Too bad yoy never got to enjoy your wii u, but just like other said sell your it ASAP.
