Forums - Nintendo - What ESRB/PEGI Rating Do You Think Zelda U Will End Up Getting?

Here in the OP I'll specifically be talking in ESRB-speak. Because I'm American, I guess.

So far, in terms of the main Zelda series, every game in the series has had an E rating, with the exceptions of Skyward Sword and the rereleases of Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and The Wind Waker, who had E10+. Then there's also Twilight Princess, which had a T rating. So practically every 3D Zelda game has had a regular E10+ or a rare T rating.

With this information in mind, what video game content rating do you think that The Legend of Zelda for Wii U will have?

In my opinion, and taking all of the information about the game into consideration, I think that the game'll end up with a nice T rating. For one, Nintendo themselves have insinuated that the game will be something different from the other Zelda games, using an analogy of going from Japanese food to Western food. You can already see that the violence is going to get pumped up a bit from the bullet time move Link has where he leaps off of his horse and shoots arrows. Western influence is pretty likely at the point. Also, I can't see Nintendo making an open-world game of this type with an E10+ rating. That'd be odd to me.

bet: lost

Rumor has it that it takes place after Twilight Princess... So I could see a T rating for Zelda U.

North American version will probably have Zelda's boobs edited out. Maybe Link's boobs, too.

E10+

E10 or Teen, I'm leaning towards teen

E10+

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Source please.

It's not the save data itself, but “Part of the data saved in the Wolf Link amiibo can be brought over and used in the new title too.” For some people, when they play the new title, they might feel the urge to play Twilight Princess HD one more time."

I don't think we'll ever have a T Zelda again. E or E10.

If it's true that Zelda U could be a sequel to TP then T, but I think E10+ is more likely.

T and 12. See no reason why it would be anything else
