Forums - Sony - Sony is just now handing out free game codes for 2011 PSN hack (for those who filed a claim form)

If you were one of the 70 million Sony customers affected by the 2011 Sony hack, and took the time to fill in a lengthy claim form following the intrusion, now is the time to check your inbox. Since March 2nd, Sony has been compensating PlayStation Network, Qriocity or Sony Online Entertainment account holders as a result of a class action settlement against it in 2014. On offer are free download codes for a number of PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PSP games, as well as a handful of themes.

bet: lost

I dropped Sony years ago and I never look back.

This is just the worst customer service ever.

Got my code for 3 months of PS+ back on March 2.

Here's the website where you had to file your claim: https://psnsoesettlement.com

The title is sort of misleading considering they've given out codes before on several different occasions. The most notable instance, to my recollection, was when InFamous 2 was made free for like an entire month, when it had just come out.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

When were you ever a Sony gamer or Playstationg ames? I mean I know you said you had a PS2 and dropped it for the OG XB and nev er looked back but in terms of sheer games, quanity AND quality Sony was FAR superior. I even remeber you said something about gameplay is an after thought for Sony and they focus too much on cinematic games and JRPGS. From your comments I have seen ebfore you just like taking shots at Sony and I wonder what types of games you even like that Sony doesn't offer. Just an observation on my part...

OT:

I didn't even fill out that crazy form lol. And I could swear that they did something for the cusotmers back when this happened. This is something extra it seems.

The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...
