Forums - Nintendo - New NX Rumor about Activision supporting the system.

That Activision will launch a CoD game on NX is not out of the question, they did support the Wii and Wii U had two of them. Using their best selling franchise to test the NX waters is a smart move, even if CoD has never sold great on Nintendo consoles.

About the rest of this leak, I neither trust it or not. We'll see how it goes.

Hope it doesn't end up like that "unprecedented EA partnership".

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

COD coming to NX is not out of the question at all. Destiny sequel beta access is also not a stretch but I don't believe it will be first available on NX(maybe I'm reading into that statement a bit too much). Destiny sold amazingly on PS4 and I don't think Activision would be stupid enough to jeopardize that especially considering Destiny has never been on a Nintendo console and considering the PS4's user base will be something like 50 million by the end of 2016. I still believe PS4 will get Destiny beta access first, and other consoles after.

They didn't lie. It was truly unprecedent because of the lack of EA games xDDDDD

A complete version of the first Destiny would be a big seller for NX. I know I'd be there.

Why would Spider-Man be called "The First Avenger" when that is already Captain America's title? That doesn't make any sense. Also with how controlling Marvel is, I honestly doubt they'd allow a video game to be tied into their cinematic universe. Their Netflix shows are only loosely connected at this point and there's no sign that they'll crossover into the movies anytime soon.

Spiderman will apear in the movie "The First Avenger: Civil War". So it could be a game based on the movie. However the title still sounds fishy.

Would definetly not be the first Videogame based on marvel movies/comics:

Even though Spiderman's film rights are owned by Sony?

I thought they worked out a deal with Disney to get Spiderman in the avengers movies.

Skylanders on NX is a given. All games in the franchise are on Wii U so I dont see them skipping the NX.

CoD returning to Nintendo isnt that far fetched considering Wii U got Ghosts and Blops 2, and if it is easy to port why not?

The really interesting idea is Nintendo wanting to have beta access to Destiny 2. Either exclusive or console mutual it shows they are trying to reconnect with the mainstream gamers. And if Nintendo spice it up with some exclusive content then they could really pull in some customers like Sony did.

ALSO, if that Platinum Spiderman game is as fun as Spiderman 2 I am all for it.

Amazing if true. It's not enough to have the games though, they need to market the system as a place to play the likes of Cod and Destiny otherwise they might not sell.

Nintendo could always make a 3rd Party Direct. If the NX is going to get as much support as it seems, there should be no probem making a proper 40-50min Direct, with only 3rd parties and indies. That would make the trick.

That'd be great idea although I'd argue it better if they include the 1st & 3rd Party in the same directs, that'd be a more effective way of changing people's perceptions of Nintendo. If they could have a September/October Direct and have world exclusive trailers and gamelay videos from Final Fantasy XV, Dragon Quest 11, Mass Effect Andromeda, Destiny and have them side by side with Zelda and Mario etc I think that would be very effective. If news articles read "New Call of Duty Map revealed during Nintendo Direct" small things like that would go on to make a big difference. Securing those exclusive reveals for Directs could be what Nintendo moneyhats instead of exclusive DLC and Marketing rights.

Although I was actually more concerned about how they market it to the general public. They can't do this anymore...

Name the console something fresh/modern/high tech sounding (NX is perfect imo), make it look cool, sleek and not just a black rectangle, have bundles which combine big third party brands and Nintendo's own IPs (Zelda+Mass Effect, Mario Kart+Fifa, Smash+Cod). They can do the "Zelda +1 of these selected games" type retail bundles if Sony or Microsoft buy Exclusive marketing rights for the big titles. And of course they'd still have stand alone and E rated bundles too, but they need to branch out a bit more.
