I think Nintendo only announced this game so that they can say that they released a Paper Mario game on Wii U...
Still not the official trailer, but just look at the dislike bar! Ahahahaha

We have every reason to believe that all of them are generic and not a single reason to believe that they aren't. I mean cmon, we don't need to physically see all 721 Pokemon to to be confident in saying all of them will be in Sun & Moon, for example. Even if we ignore the fact that the game is Sticker Star in every other way shape and form, there's the generic toad where Toadsworth should be, the shop is ran by a generic blue toad where the mustachio'd (or atleast a different variety) of toad would be, then a yellow generic toad was seen in a seemingly more important role basically confirming that the only variety is once again palette swaps, and in total we saw atleast 12 toads all lookalikes. If they had any unique toads, we definitely woulda seen one by now, but we haven't, cause they don't have any. |
I'll say what I was saying all this time. Patience. If the game is trash, we'll say it. As I said with Sticker Star when I play it. Although everything points to a Sticker Star 2.0, I can't possibly deny that, it's still one minute of a, maybe, 20 hours game (if it's similar in length to SS). There's room for improvement, there are still lots to see of game's footage, and while I'm not precisely hopeful, I prefer to wait to make a final judgement of the game, and not bashing it for a minute trailer. The same goes for Federation Force, and all the games that are being trashed. If they're bad, we'll see it, there's no hurry about jumping to conclusions. You can't possibly tell me that with one minute footage you could know all about the game. One minute could give you a bad impression (I really had a bad impression too), but you can't say all of it will be terribad. And you can't infer for a minute that all the Toads will be look-alike, although it gives that impression. We'll see in the final game. And we'll say that's a shitty decision for that if this is the case.

This game doesnt look too cheap at all if that is what you mean, in fact it looks really pretty, the problem is with the gameplay design this time, so dont get on the hate badwagon when you dont even know what is a good or a bad paper mario to beggin with because you have never touched one, it would take probably a very similar effort to do it more in lines with the original ones, but for some reason they have decided to stick with the unpopular one, wich is a bummer.

Except I can for the reasons explained and evidence provided already. "You can't because I say so!" isn't an argument, it's just denial. Now this game isn't bad because of shody level design, uneven pacing, or poor dialogue, things that can improve as you get further in, it's bad because the whole idea behind the game is terrible. It fails at the conceptual level, so no matter how they try to execute it they will fail. The only way to fix it is to completely overhaul the design and core mechanics of the game, but of course they're not gonna do that because the Wii U isn't worth it, hence why they made the game like this in the first place.

Thats too much drama, are you telling me that sticker star is the proof that 3DS is not worth it hence why the game is made like this on the first place? Come on.
And no, it is possible to make a good game with the sticker star formula, of course it is, unlikey? really unlikely, I wont even count with that, but what killed SS was way more than one thing. There is a chance this is a bad Paper Mario yet a good game overall. Not so much of a relief for hardcore fans though.

Come on yourself, we already know why Sticker Star is the way it is.
Sticker Star's formula is broken, so yes it is impossible. No matter how many times a bird tries to fly with a crippled wing, it will never do it.

No, sticker star has way more than one problem, is not broken at its core, thats a lie, and not having the traditionl system didnt stop Super Paper Mario for being a good game.
Again is unlikely that this ends up being a great game after sticker stars, but you are just being too dramatic.

You're too invested in hating the game tbh, SS had problems in its execution of the formula it used, to try and say it's impossible is going beyond being rational especially as you're basically arguing with anyone who doesn't hate it like you yourself do.
