That would make sense if you pointed out a fact and worked it into the confines of this subject. Yet, here we are again - you did not. So leave it be.

It is not disproved though, but you got it. Being I actually don't care about the XBone enough to continue this, lol.

Yet you did, because you're desperately trying to have the last word.

Then stop quoting/talking about it. You were given a warning about it already! It becomes formal next time!

Not that it's my place, but I've been watching this exchange since it started. If I was ever given as many chances as Big was just now, I'd have never been banned.

In a situation like that, all I can advise is that you speak to the moderator in question. Or one of the elders. Send along a PM.

I'm not debating it or attacking your decision to not ban or moderate. In fact, I wish more mods were like you in that you don't swing a banhammer to solve all problems.

That comes off more as "I don't care if it is true, as long as people can't prove it is false".

That is an odd stance to take on an issue.

The world's a strange place.

I personally think this is all a bit silly.

All MS has done is allow more users to enter into the Xbox Ecosystem.

If you currently have a PS4 and a capable gaming PC then you now can get an Xbox Live Account and buy MS first party games.

If you have a PS4 but don't like PC gaming then nothing changes for you. You would still have to buy an Xbox console to play MS exclusives if you wanted them.

If you have an Xbox One already and don't like PC Gaming nothing changes for you.

If you only PC game and don't like consoles then you now can enter the MS ecosystem and buy MS exclusives.

IMO this is why Microsoft now looks at active Xbox users/ month as a gauge rather than Xbox One sales.
They want to increase the active userbase of Xbox players whether its Console or PC. And by reading here many users who never intended on buying and Xbox One will now have Xbox Live accounts and play them on Xbox PC.

None of this news is bad for MS, its shareholders or the gamers.

No, this is a good move for the Xbox brand, the fact that "console warriors" on the other side are getting nervous about and trying their hardest to downplay it says it all.

I don't like Sony and PC gaming is too much of a hassle for me, so I'm still open to the possibility of getting an Xbox One.

then you are missing so many excellent games exclusives for not liking sony, like the last of us (300+ GOTYs awarded, thus becoming the most award winning game of all time), bloodborne (92+ on metacritic), until dawn, heavy rain, the last guardian, shenmue 3, 90% of anime games, uncharted, infamous, detroit become human, etc

If you have a gaming PC one could argue there's really no reason to own any console.

um exclusives? like the last of us (300+ GOTYs awarded, thus becoming the most award winning game of all time), bloodborne (92+ on metacritic), until dawn, heavy rain, the last guardian, beyond two souls, uncharted, infamous, detroit become human, wild, horizon, etc

nervous? look at those xbox sales, ugh

The games that Microsoft are giving away for free on the PC isn't without it's flaws.

They need to fix V-Sync, SLI/Crossfire and it seems the games are rendered in a borderless window, which on some hardware configurations can have a massive performance hit.
It also denies overlays from the likes of Steam, Origin etc'. Which doesn't bode well for Microsoft winning over PC gamers. (And thus various Streaming and Video chat solutions are also non-functional.)
It also only has the games exclusively in the Windows 10 store, forcing people to use Windows 10.
The games also forgo any mod support.

I doubt Microsoft will be "moving" gamers away from the Xbox to the PC if they continue to make the exact same mistakes as they did with Games for Windows Live. I.E. Trying to make PC gamers play games like a console gamer, there are certain things PC gamers want and expect and Microsoft is not willing to meet that just yet... And until they do, this will merely be a "Checkbox feature" that might placate a small subset of gamers.

I think most in this thread are missing the point. Microsoft's goal is to render the console simply one more physical option for consuming a broadly available basket of games.

There are all sorts of reasons why they are going to struggle to do this. But if they succeed, the real question to be asking is going to be:

Who needs a PS4/5?

And I think you missed the question: Is there any reason to buy an Xbox?

Between Steam Machines and "PC Consoles" like the Standard Alienware Alpha, there's not much reason to have an Xbox. That is the question. Instead, we find a mod in here attempting to derail that.

There is no need to be snarky.

Many people in this thread have raised all conceivable valid reasons someone would still want an Xbox One, there was little point in my repeating them.

The very first comment that the OP makes is that Xbox is now a service. Before making the (in my opinion mistaken) assertion that this has devalued the brand. I was attempting to illustrate what Microsoft is intending to achieve, and the impact their success would have on the console landscape.
