The games that Microsoft are giving away for free on the PC isn't without it's flaws.
They need to fix V-Sync, SLI/Crossfire and it seems the games are rendered in a borderless window, which on some hardware configurations can have a massive performance hit.
It also denies overlays from the likes of Steam, Origin etc'. Which doesn't bode well for Microsoft winning over PC gamers. (And thus various Streaming and Video chat solutions are also non-functional.)
It also only has the games exclusively in the Windows 10 store, forcing people to use Windows 10.
The games also forgo any mod support.
I doubt Microsoft will be "moving" gamers away from the Xbox to the PC if they continue to make the exact same mistakes as they did with Games for Windows Live. I.E. Trying to make PC gamers play games like a console gamer, there are certain things PC gamers want and expect and Microsoft is not willing to meet that just yet... And until they do, this will merely be a "Checkbox feature" that might placate a small subset of gamers.
