Well it depends if it releases on 3DS only or also NX Handheld too.
If its 3DS only in late 2016 with a new handheld out this year too it wont pass 12m imo.
If its cross gen title then it should sell upwards of 15m, maybe even reaching 17m+

Seriously, It's hard to predict before seeing anything about the game, so I can't have an idea of how much appeal and hype it will build. But atm I doubt the hype will be as high as X/Y, so I predict between 7 and 9millions.

My friend, if it does that it'll be very worrying. XY is the lowest new gen game. It's close to 15mil. The third installments do 6.5mil-8mil. No way a new gen game does under 10mil! :o

Yes. I was thinking hoenn too. All there is now is gold/silver and crystal and it'll all be connected. Maybe they'll do it on 25th year anniversary! 

I still don't count 100%. Unless they make an amiibo GB cart reader. So all the physical copies can operate together. 11million easily.

Depends on how good the games are though, I'd hope they are better than X/Y and therefore sell more than X/Y too.

I don't think they will be able to catch X/Y sales.  X/Y has been selling steadily for years, while Sun/Moon will probably have a year at best, to sell before the 3ds is replaced. I also think Pokémon GO will hurt it's sales. (I honestly think GO looks way more fun than a normal Pokémon game, because of the real world aspects)

Oh yeah, and my prediction: 12 million lifetime



Playing Xenoblade 2 before I buy Xenoblade 3 (otherwise I couldn't wait to play 3).

Can they announce a new Fire Emblem? A remake of Genealogy or Tellius would suffice !

It's a guaranteed 10m seller. How much after that is the question. It'll do better than OR/AS, which is a remake. I'll say on par with X/Y until actual footage of the game is shown.
