Why the hell are people classic super smash bros as a fighting game (beat em up) it's not in the same genre as KI, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter. Just leave it out.

Meanwhile on subject, Street Fighter V will be the fighter of this gen once the content is fully out there, there's no doubt about that.

Kinda seems like preemptive thread before Street Fighter 5 pummels it in sales & popularity.
The OP does little to support the thread title.
OP even admits that KI launched with"little content".
Interesting enough there was a lack of criticism by the gaming media cartel about this point.

KI could never be 'the' fighting game this gen. To be that implies being the most played and popular among competitive players and that certainly isn't KI.

Smash fighting game debate always amuses me, mainly because I can't believe that people don't consider it a fighting game.

Anyways, even though I haven't played a single fighting game this gen... my level of interest goes

Smash > KI > MK > SF > whatever else

As far as OSTs go, KI is my personal Favorite. Should've won a grammy lol
