i feel the same way about my dreamcast

PS1 was a great console, introduced the world to mature gaming and the latest format (CD's).

I wouldn't say it's the best console of all time (that one goes to the SNES or Gameboy) but it is up there.

By the way, I still whip out the PS1 from time to time to play GT2 (the best gran turismo), FF8 (the best final fantasy) and Tekken 3 (the best tekken)

I have to flip my PS1 upside down to use it. :(
Luckily my PS2 can play my PS1 games :) I still enjoy some of the classics from the PS1; Castlevania: SOTN, FF Tactics, etc. Some games are terrible though, e.g. the PS1 remakes of SNES/SFC games, load times FTL :(
SNES/SFC is still my favorite system ever :D

JC992000, do you have a europe version of Suikoden II by any chance? :D All the games that you have mentioned are really good games.

PS1 wasn't bad. I still played some of my PS1 games for a few years after PS2 came out.

For me PS1 had most of the fun games. In fact, my PS1 games is more than my PS2 games. Although It's a bitch that I sold them all together with my PS1. I'm just cringing to get a copy of FF9.

Gave mine to a friend when I bought my PSP . I had it when I owned a PS2 , but the PSP killed all of my time :)

I love all my FF games, even those in Psones.  I am still today playing FF7-8 and 9

I have Shikoden II ( USA Version )..

I have Alundra, Vagrant, Suikoden 2, brigardine, lunar 2 , Legend of legaia,  and all obscure JRPG that you can think !!!

I'm going back and playing many of mine (and my room mate's) PS1 games. It's like a fun trip down memory lane. I also still have my working SCPH-1001 that I still take out every once in a while.
