Microsoft has a strategy and it is clear. Supporting both platforms to reach as much customers as possible. Many people will always prefer to own home consoles anyways regardless of PC library. Consoles are convenient, cheap investment, and the standard of the market.

Now, feel free to criticize that strategy of MS. But don't turn the topic into an excuse to attack Xbox. Especially if you are not interested in it in the first place.

Exactly! Their strategy is pretty clear: Have one platform (Windows10) on several different hardware (PC, Tablet, Console) and release the same games on several af them to expand the userbase and sell more software. I like that strategy :).

this and in case people missed the memo it has always been the objective since the OG XBox... The point f it was to Carter to the people that left the PC gaming crowd have a step in the living room and ultimately unify all of it around one brand... The road map was clear... Even the console names speak for themselves... XBOX 360 and XBOX ONE can't get more obvious than that...

I can't be the only one who thinks its weird that the PS4 has mouse and keyboard support for like two years and the Xbox doesn't. I simply don't understand why.

Don't know how this thread became about the Xbox one losing exclusives buti will add that the only reason that is happening is because games cost a lot to make snd they want to maximize profits. Its always about money folks.

There are legitmate reasons to get a PC over XB1 or any other console.

The XB1 getting an additional controller option is actually a reason in favor of it, not against it.

The distinction is important. Don't obfuscate legitmate reasons by just spamming "who needs xbox, i got a PC" everywhere, opinion or not.

True, and Xbox One is much more powerful than a PC for the same money.  Plus not as buggy.  And additonal way to play is just good.  I didn't realize we couldn't plug in a keyboard already (for chat or something.)

I have a decent PC, but still do most of my gaming on my Xbox One.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Also considering the original name was meant to be DirectXbox :).

Boy, they're really giving people no reason to own an X1.

Aren't they giving people MORE reasons to own an X1? I don't understand what you mean?

I just don't understand the giving more people a reason. Most people play games on pc, seem to like using the keyboard and mouse. Most people who are console gamers, prefer controllers, or am i wrong? Now, if the games come out for both PC and X1, most PC people will stick to PC and most console people will stick to console, or am i wrong? I just don't see where adding keyboard and a mouse is going to help draw more people in.

Money well spent?.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Sure, one only puts decent hardware in a computer because of gaming. ?!

I also have quite a capable PC but have an Intel GPU which only purpose is to give me an image on my screen. There are people who actually *work* with a computer and need power to work efficiently.

I don't doubt that. I'm asking him personally if he spent his money in a wise sense, not like those rich millionaires who buy 25 cars and drive only one or someone who pays for a buffet and eats only a single plate. I come from a family that doesn't like wasting things, especially technology. To me getting a "decent" (quotation marks because decent seems to vary these days as I'll no doubt find out) setup and then not using it nearly as much as a cheaper investment just comes off as a waste of money to me. I could do all the wasteful things in the world and if you're totally okay with one investment, you surely should be fine with other such investments.

How is he not using his money in a wise sense?

What if his "decent" PC churns out money for his family instead of being "wasted" for games?
