Yes, because we certainly need to point out the list of PS4 RPGs on a thread about Gamecube games ¬_¬

The thing is... Nintendo need to get 3rd party back.

No two ways about it. Its consoles have to few RPGs in general on them.

This thread made that really clear, a console haveing less than 20 games of a genre really isnt a good place to be.

But who says it only had 20 games in that genre?

Also, what you're pointing out is irrelevant to the topic of the thread. If you want to talk about this, go start a new thread on it

I feel like this paints a picture too though..... GC probably had less than 20 RPGs, all together.

Thats just the action RPGs, theres plenty of normal RPGs, and Tactical ones, Tstrategie ones,...

The GC may have had less RPGs, but that doesn't make them any less, haha.

I have no idea why PS4 got dragged into this. But back in the GCN days RPGs were still a niche genre. It wasn't until CoD with their level up system happened that we started to see RPG elements in other genres.

I dunno about that. The PS2 still had a lot of RPGs on it.

Its the first part of the OP:

Anyone who ever owned one knows the Gamecube did not receive many rpgs, probably only 20-30 titles total for the life of the system. (Still more than the poor n64 though.) However despite the limited selection it still has some good ones, several which were exclusive to the gc.

AsGryffynn:

I just didnt ever think about how bad off the Gamecube was back then for RPGs.

This thread makes it really clear nintendo has a problem, with game library lacking RPGs.

And no I didnt just enter and first post a list.

I read the op and replied about my favorite gamecube rpgs.

Its Paper Mario TTYD.

*edit: atleast this started a discussion, instead of just people a few tiles of games and nothing more.

This list is not only incredible out of place but is also incredibly manipulative, most of those games can barely be called rpgs to beggin with and the vast majority are not even released yet so they are bareley promises, not to mention indies, something that didnt existed on GC era.

Let's not feed the PS4 discussion. It's not relevant to this thread.

GameCube had a fairly small stable of RPGs, but given how much people seem to differ in their opinion about which was the best one on the console, it seems fair to say it did well in quality, if not in quantity. For me, personally, it's probably still got the largest number of my personal favourites.

I'd love to see Baten Kaitos revived or another Tales game on Wii U or its successor. Namco's pretty much the only third party Nintendo has a good relationship with, so it's not impossible.

Nobody wants a discussion. I am bloody tired of endless shitstorms...

I loved FE: Path Of Radiance. Even though I have both Pokemon Col & XD. I never liked them. They just felt half assed.
