How's that?  Are you suggesting Apple's going to give out this special OS with every Iphone purchase?  Because, I think that's probably an inaccurate assumption on your part.

no, but if its possible to overwrite it with an other ios then what stop others to do so aswell?

If it weren't possible, Apple would've been far better served simply saying that (The FBI wouldn't have been able to try and use the All Writs Act, to get them to do something that's impossible).  By refusing, it's inadvertant admission that it is possible.

Well it seems like I said it is about to take a turn for the worse for Apple. The FBI canceled the hearing set for today. Since a "third party" has come forward with a plan to get into the iPhone. The FBI isn't giving out the name so it isn't Avery who offered, which leads me to belive it is a hacker, which means that if the security does get compromised by them they can kiss this security set up good bye. In addition accord the NPR report, as I heard it on the radio, it seems that congress is getting ready to rewrite the laws concerning the sopeanas to remove the parts that give some parties a legal way to not comply, so something like this doesn't happen again.

Note: reading the article it doesn't say anything about cogress rewritting the laws. That was what they said on the radio though, so I don't which is correct.

my take on all this is

1. Apple playing hardball to pretend they give a fuck about protecting peoples data from the government so people go out and buy their phones because of it.

2. FBI on the other hand is like cool perfect play hardball, let people think we can't crack this phone. I bet they are already in lol.

I am definitely pro-Apple in this case. Very glad the FBI got their asses beat.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
