I don't get the poll.. they paid for console exclusive rights. Of course they money hatted it. It's like asking if MS money hatted Tomb Raider.

This deal to me says Sony helping funding the game (yes even if it's SF and made by Capcom) and in return the game going on their console (considering PC release is also present), just like MS did with Titanfall and Sunset Overdrive. Other help might not have been as obvious, consultant programmers might have been sent to Capcom's development team to help with getting the game ready for PS4 (same might have been done for MS with the 2 games mentioned) yet we don't hear about that, why would we?

Keep in mind also, SFV is cross platform between PC and PS4, they can play each other. Developers seem to have to make decisions on choosing 1 console over another if they are going to do that feature as it limits userbase as MS and Sony don't seem to like the idea that their userbases can play together. Examples, Rocket League on PS4 and Elite Dangerous on Xbox.

None of the games mentioned above are anything like the TR debacle.

Hmm, pie.

I really want it and had it preordered since it was announced but I cancelled it last week after reading the rumours that were sneaking out that the game is incomplete, there's no way I'm spending £40 on a game that isn't complete. I'm now going to wait till the first content is released. From what ice heard the gameplay is brilliant and tbh that is the main thing you want to be good.
I'll keep looking at user reviews and forum discussions as the game goes on,

If you like Street fighter, get it now. Use the time to earn the in game currency and get used to the new fighting mechanics.

I was going to hold off myself but I changed my mind last minute. Realised I can start getting up to speed sooner rather than later.

For me, street fighter is very different to MK etc. It's the only game I play as a fighter with my friends. MK I usually play to see the death moves and go through the story before I return it.

I'll be honest I am seriously thinking about it, it's actually dropped £10 on Amazon to £30 with free delivery today, I'm stunned it's dropped that fast.

Nothing you typed stopped people here, GAF, everywhere else from calling deals like Titanfall and SO moneyhats.

All i see is shifting goal posts to excuse SFV from the same criticism heaped onto Tomb Raider or Titanfall. Idk why, its not as if Sony is new to moneyhatting games or that theres anything wrong with it. But people seem to get offended if you point it out, even though no matter how far the goal posts are moved, you still just have a situation where Sony paid a company large amounts of money and in exchange that company kept their game off the console Sony is competing with this gen. Aka, a moneyhat. A rushed, buggy, chock full of F2P BS moneyhat. Capcom apparently didnt use much of that money Sony gave them to do actual work on the game.

User was warned for this post.

Yeah and based on Destiny and Battlefront releasing it earlier means more money. I think the game will get constant updates making it more interesting going forward

I dont see why people have such a huge outcry, the game has plenty of content. The survival mode is pretty much your arcade mode, its the same thing. I am suprised that playing against the computer in different ways still means a lot to people in 2016? I mean where you have been when star wars came without any bot support or singleplayer campaign?

As for now, the game has 16 characters, 10 stages and two modes for one player, one of which is an hour and half long and has a baby difficulty. Then you get offline multiplayer, and online multiplayer. Compared to other games of the genre like the last Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter V is far from having "plenty of content".

Well they did moneyhat ff7r

I don't know what people expected really. SFIV was put on an undeserved pedestal last gen. From Capcom's continous milking of the franchise and it's micro transactions are enough to put anyone off. That and the fact there are fighters with superior gameplay such as Tekken and Soul Calibur which don't have the Micro transaction bs in it with buying bloody character skins for 5 bloody dollars. It seems to me SF will lose it's throne this gen as the top fighter . Rightly so, as we all know Super, Turbo and Ultra are coming in the rest of gen 8. You can eff off Capcom with that bunch of crap.

No just hatters hateing.

There wont be multiple versions of the same game, just with super/tubro/ultra tags.

Street fighter V is it, and they ll just expand on it with more added content down the road.

SFV is still the best fighting game on the market.

You want diverse cast of characters (instead of a million characters, that all basically play the same).

You want the "easy to play, hard to master" approuch that SFV has.

The "core" of the game, is the ability to play 1vs1 and have a rank ladder system that works.

SFV has that, which is basically the most important part (by far) of anything in a fighter game.

That's a great offer.

Played it for a few more hours yesterday and it's the most fun I've had played VS since Street Fighter VS Snk. The fights play out more like a chess match than most other fighters and the V system is awesome.
