Jellybean? Great! I thought I had an older version of android but I was wrong, and that´s neat, because unless my phone decided that he had had enough of this world and died, I wasn´t going to buy a new one just to be able to "play" miitomo.
Well, I guess we´ll see there in march! ^^

They seriously need to advertise this. It has the potential to be the next big social media app, but Nintendo will be shooting themselves in the foot if they don't launch Miitomo with pomp and circumstance.

All of the top messenger apps in the west right now are just uninteresting messenger apps without Miis. In this this case, if that's all Miitomo was, it would fit right in.

Of course, it's not. It's very clearly gamified. The reason people are scratching their heads over it is that, for now, you're not working towards a win state. Miitomo is actually more similar to something like Sims Social, that old Facebook game, than something like Whatsapp. It feels, so far, like a combination of something like Sims Social/Tomodachi Life, Bitmoji/Bitstrips, and the Japanese Line app, which is far more compelling than any of the popular messenger apps out today that are popular in the west.

I'd certainly hope Miitomo is more than something akin to Whatsapp or Snapchat, but all the screenshots we've been shown don't really give us too much of an idea of what the app will really be like, and so far we haven't been given too many statements (Unless i've missed some), so its hard to tell.

Never the less, as i said i'll try it out to see what Nintendo and DeNa are up to, but so far i'm not too interested in the app.
