Don't worry, you can always play an erotic visual novel and it's interactive and with cool boobage, asses and cumshots xDDDDD. Honestly, I think these sort of outfits are plain ridiculous (like the ones in XCX), and even if I don't actually care about them, I prefer them to be removed. 

That's the thing, though, after Fire Emblem Awakening the series is more mainstream in the West. It's not necesseraily the niche JRPG a few hardcore gamers are going to buy expecting its Japanese querks anymore. Nintendo is just adjusting the game how they see fit to appeal more to westerners. 

I don't mind that there are bikini in the games, or that Nintendo is taking them out. I do know a lot of people, though, who are definitiely not SJWs guys who would find a game with all its Japanese quirks weird. 

This is not part of my main argument, but I had to laugh recently when I was playing Smash 4 with my buddies after I had downloaded Corrin, and them laughing because Corrin looked "really, really gay." Of course, after they discovered how much ass Corrin kicked  no one was laughing. They're just not used to the anime-style. Nintendo realizes that people in the West won't be used to the same bikni-clad Anime girls Japanese gamers are used to. So they take it out. Simple as that. 

No, no one is forcing me to. I'm not happy they're specifically removing the bikinis, I couldn't give any less craps about that. I'm just happy Nintendo is catering the games to the west so it's more mainstreat here. Means more sales and more Fire Emblem in the future. Awakening gave a breath of fresh air to the series, and it was significantly made more mainstream and accessible, than say, the first GBA Fire Emblem to release worldwide. 

not really sure what the significance of this is, its a very small fraction of the game and doesn't effect the gameplay or story in any way, which is really what most games are for.

I agree entirely. Also we really could have seen this coming so I don't see where the problem is.

If it's not there, it's not that big of a deal. But for the sake of principle just leave it in there. If you're going to get outrage from someone, get it from your NON-target audience. Then again, maybe Nintendo is aiming for the wrong audience.
