Honestly, though, I'm happy they're doing this. Having sexualized bikinis in a tactica, fantasy RPG is plain stupid. What works in Japan doesn't necessarily work in the West, and Nintendo knows that. 

No one is forcing you to use those optional swimsuits either, so I don't know why removing them would make you happy.
And it's not like it was replaced with any meaningful content either.

No, no one is forcing me to. I'm not happy they're specifically removing the bikinis, I couldn't give any less craps about that. I'm just happy Nintendo is catering the games to the west so it's more mainstreat here. Means more sales and more Fire Emblem in the future. Awakening gave a breath of fresh air to the series, and it was significantly made more mainstream and accessible, than say, the first GBA Fire Emblem to release worldwide.
