Forums - Nintendo - Each version of Fire Emblem Fates does not have as much content as Awakening.

But the full package still looks to have far more content than Awakening, and Fates is by far the biggest Fire Emblem yet. That is what I am interested in since that is what I am getting.

It's funny to see the guy above whining about how he's going to wait years for the game to come down in price so they can save a trivial amount of petty cash. You're obviously not a fan of the franchise like I am.

I loved Fire Emblem Awakening so I'm going to buy the special edition when it's announced for a Europe release. If I don't get my hands on it I will still get all the games.

I am a Nintendo fanatic.

I thought this was a pretty rubbish move by Nintendo when they first announced it. It's weird seeing how many fans have defended the move.

If your info is true then it will be amazing to see if Nintendo pull it off.

Like many previously stated, it's not only about how much content difference there is. Theres more factors to it!

The logic used here is extremely flawed. Scenario is not being accounted for at all. It doesn't matter if you're experiencing the same map or characters when the scenarios, challenges, and objectives on the map are completely different between versions.

If you're told to kill king poo in birthright in 12 turns or whatever, but in Conquest you have to escort princess pissplease across the map in 5 turns without her getting attacked by an enemy, but in Revalation you have to stall the other side for 8 turns, and the story reason behind all three is completely different, but it all takes place on the same map, they all hold the same value.

We can talk about the scenario if you want! It's easy, you need the 3 versions if you want the full story with all infos and the true ending. So story-wise, it's not 3 games but one. And one pretty bad story from what I've read...

But yes, it would be great if this new thing was not supported by the gamers. The overpriced DLCs of Awakening have been accepted, the Amiibo DLCs are accepted, now the games cut in three for more money are accepted... Well, some people can accept anything when it's from Nintendo, and Nintendo knows that. They know thanks to that how to make money without a good-selling console and with less games, good for them.

It's still 3 full games. You need to buy all 3 metroid prime games and all 3 Uncharted games to Get the full story too right?

Anywayz traditional Fe players are more stoked on actual game than story hence Conquest is going to be amazing. Also as stated the main reason for the split is for the new crowd (awakening) and the old school players.

Ironically 2 games together is 60 bucks. (download the other) and has a ton of more content than your average ps4/WiiU/X1 60 dollar game so I don't see the problem. If you want to use that logic that is :p

If this is true, I really hope Fire Emblem fans don't stand for it. I want this to bite Nintendo in the ass similar to how Federation Force bit them and good.

Not sure if you seen current sales in Japan. It's not going bite them. That said it's not as bad as many make it out o be!

I can see how Metroid fans were upset with Federation Force, but as a FE fan, I don't see a whole lot to be upset about. I'm mad the extra classes are dlc when they could have been included in the game, but aside from that, I feel nothing but excitement for this game. : P

77 unique maps for $80. I don't see a problem with that. That's basically the content of two Fire Emblem games that would go for $40 each.

Another thing people need to understand is how much better one of the versions will be (Conquest).

If i had a choice of 1 game in the future (both FE) and one is 25 chapters long (Traditional) and the other is 40 chapters long (Awakening/Birthrigt) i definitely go with the former and im sure many others (well Hardcore fans lol) would too!

A game should be reviewed/critizised for its amount of content but its not everything so long as the game is actually worth it... Ex MK Wii to MK8 (same number of tracks before dlc about same number of racers, etc)

Only that in this particular case you are choosing between two games (Birthright and Conquest) that have ~40 chapters each, so it's not like a love for old school Fire Emblem would put you at a disadvantage.

True, i was just pointing out fans at least that want Quality wouldn't mind it being shorter if it meant it were more casual (awakening). That said its definitely good, and this was the safest route and least coming from awakening to pls more of both fanbases. Are you Only Casual? (Birthright), Want Traditional Hard online like previous entrys? (Conquest). You a Hardcore FE Fan? Buy both and third path dlc for price of 2 games and not wait a couple extra years for the next installment :p

I'm thinking about giving some plasma to afford Fates.

From what I've heard, Conquest is one of the best Fire Emblem overall, so sorry but I'm gonna dig.
