If this is true it signals a seismic shift in MS' gaming policies. In fact I would argue it shows they are considering getting rid of XBOX.

Lol. As Dj Khaled would say: They don't want you to buy an Xbox One.

You is smart.

Wow if it's true more and more people wont see any reason to keep they X1 included myself.

It boils down to the reason many of us play on consoles to begin with.  It's a convenient dedicated gaming machine for one's living space where they can turn the power on and in minutes be competing with people around the planet, on the sofa next to them, or by themselves.  It will have a different entry cost than PCs which we know have the capacity to outperform these machines but not everyone wants that kind of fuss.

I know that I will be giving Microsoft some money if some of these games pop up on PC but that doesn't mean I don't give my console any attention either.

People buy the Xbox One for the same main reasons they buy a Sony Playstation 4 or a Nintendo Wii U - a convenient, dedicated gaming experience and to make brash generalizations or say this will do any real damage to potential sales of the Xbox One is completely baseless.

I'm quite relaxed. If you talked to me in person you'll actually find my way of typing and vocal talks are very different from one another.

Gaming as a service isn't really ideal for everyone though, please do take note of that.

Imo gaming needs to be where movies and music are. You see a game, just pop it or download it and play it on the device you have. It's not a lesser game because of it being multi. No need to brag about how your device of choice sells more than the other and devs would have the biggest user base possible. Enough with the single platform development... then wars would be between games instead of consoles.

I was talking more of actually having the game rather than simply "streaming it" as means of a "service", akin to renting a game but not owning it's files, something which MS won't even allow you to actually touch let alone modify with the current state and allowance the Win10 store show. In fact that's actually more the talk of this whole QB news, it's not just the fact that it;s coming to PC that's breaking some dreams of exclusivity folk but more or less the actual decision to throw it onto a store which isn't anywhere near popular. Looking at this from an open platform pov, this isn't really all that great, sure it's great that it's coming to PC but it's not great that it's a game locked to a single OS to a single store with no sort of freedom to how you can play the game besides doing what you're told. That's not what the platform is about and that's what will eventually be a trouble for MS to tackle and one they will have to admit fault with on their behalf if they want to move on past the old model and into the new one.

I don't actually care where a game goes, but I know for a fact that boasting numbers is a fools game with a platform that has existed since computers could create and play games as a platform that is created within a closed wall dies, so does it's sales, we talk about the Wii sales as a reference point but in another 10 maybe 50 more years something else will surpass that, maybe even the PC but it will be from a platform that has no lifespan, no definited lifespan with no set time limit. The only time I'll care where a game goes is when the original is in the middle of production and tampered with the design of the original's destination, ie: a game that's made for PC utilizing PC peripherals or design is confined to the restraints of a gamepad one in terms of how the game is played along with UI and eventual downgrades to a specific set of low end hardware. That will be the only time and situation where I'll care because I seek the original design, how the game was first shown and marketed, if it's design is changed to conform to another system that isn't open, well then I just won't buy or support their decision but I digress as this doesn't have to do with PC to Xbox.

This of course coming from someone who's as cool as a cucumber.

Actually yes it does matter....for a certain group of gamers who aren't even Xbox fans and yes people STILL bought the X1 for Titanfall even thought it was available for PC which I keep trying to tell people but refuse to accept.

Yup just like when Titanfall didn't move any needles.....oh wait!

There's a reason why It's called FPShooterBox. Just saying

-User was warned for this post ~ CGI-Quality

FIFA bundles for the X1 moved hardware and the franchise isn't a FPS. Just saying.

I love how people who clearly don't want to be happy about any news involving Xbox or PS4 or whatever console can always interpret good news to be bad news so they can remain unhappy.

Microsoft retains exclusivity of games:

"Ugh moar 900p garbage. Why does Microsoft have to lock down games I want to play on their crappy console?"

Microsoft opens games up to Windows PC's:

"Man. What's the point of even buying an Xbox One? What a stupid move for them to do."

It's like the idea that some people don't want to shell out 800+ on a gaming PC to play games at a decent resolution/framerate doesn't register with them. This is an option for those gamers who are willing to pay for expensive PC's and don't like playing on Peasantbox One or whatever pejorative the master race wants to give the Xbox One.

What games did Microsoft, took away from PC ?, The only one that i saw people arguing was Tomb Raider, that Was Timed, and not made by Microsoft, the others are the same as usual, like Halo, Forza,  and some Remasters, Sunset Overdrive, is not even talked this much.

People were upset not because was Exclusive for the console, is because Microsoft, bought the Timed Exclusivity, after the game already was ready to launch, Also because the PC, and the PS4, have a higher Fanbase of Tomb Raider, than Xbox, look at the sales, the last game sold 4 Millions on PC, and 4Millions on PS3+ PS4.

Square Enix, pissed more than 8 Millions of Fans only to try push some Xbox One, consoles, but because was timed, everyone hated Microsoft for the move, and did not purchased a Xbox One, they got a little money, and pleased less than 1.5 Xbox One, gamers,  and making more than 8 Millions of other players, un-able to play the game because of the deal.

I'm sorry. Perhaps I'm not understanding your point. How does this refute what I said?

Gears 1 was on PC and no others though right? I know no one who has a gaming PC. I read about it a lot but never see or hear anyone around me talk about or have one.

The PC market has been growing by leaps and bounds since last gen. When Gears 1 first came out Steam was still young and finding its legs. Today steam and Blizzard are responsible for the largest resurfacing of core gaming PC sales in a long...long time. Microsoft was M.I.A. When PC came back on top. Gears of War and the First Halo were small offerings for a console market that had almost unlimited offerings elsewhere.

Traditional PC market has been stagnating. Steam grew, as digital distribution. And yes, Blizzard is big in PC gaming.
And that is what MS definitely missed in the PC market.
Now they do have the possibility to offer connections between different ecosystems, from crossbuy to streaming, which is actually an interesting move. It even gets more interesting when you think about Xbox 360 emulation on PC, on the next Xbox, an x86 neXtbox that's backwards compatible at default and buying one game for all devices.

Thing is, it actually doesn't hurt me. Right now i might play Quantum Break for Xbox One cause my Notebooks GPU is to weak. But i'm getting a PC version as well, so i might play that if i'm getting a gaming rig again.

And if MS is really smart, they have Cloud save features from the start. So i can play QB on PC in the living room and then head over to playing it on that Xbox in the bedroom or something like that.

The only thing that hurts gamers is games not coming to their platform of choice!

They really do not want me to buy an Xbox do they?

No, they want to make you buying a PC instead, with their operating system so that you buy their games on their platform.

ps4/win10 seems like the best combo for gaming now if you are going to own two platforms.

Well, then you would be in the state that PC gamers are as always: the majority of games you will buy on PC because the games are cheaper and better there and you have a console only for exclusives.

Why even get a Xbox One at this point?

Why get a console instead of a PC? I don't get why people think that the only difference between playing on a console or a PC is only because of the games.
