Last chance to make a prediction on what they will announce. My heart says a strategy game, my brain tells me a MMO.

Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2... To go along with World of Starcraft :D

I wouldn't be surprised to see both of the first two games I mentioned, I'd be surprised not to see at least one of them announced.  And World of Starcraft is already a known game so no surprises there.

I'd like Diablo 3. A bunch of college buddies and I used to frequent the computer labs late to help each out on quests for Diablo II and level up. Fun times, especially collecting the ears of fallen friends.

Diablo III is unlikely. I'm not sure how well versed you are in Blizzard's history, but they were purchased by Vivendi 4 years ago. At that time, many developers left the company, most of whom were from Blizzard North, developers of Diablo.

In other words, Blizzard had two core development groups: the guys responsible for Warcraft, and the guys responsible for Diablo. They still have most of the Warcraft guys, but many of the Diablo ones have moved on. 

True but Diablo was and still is a major franchise and it would be very strange of them not to come out with a 3rd game even if some of the developers of the other two games have left the company.
