Forums - Gaming Discussion - Quantum Break To Release on PC/XB1 On Apr 5

Games like this had me interested in buying an Xbox One in the future.

Guess I won't be buying anymore if it no longer has any exclusives.

GTX 760 and R7 260x for min? Yeah, I don't think Xbox sales are going to suffer...

I think this is a misperception. It's not that this release, in particular, is going to sway anyone (at least, of any real significance). It's about the accumulation of releases that are no longer X1 only.  I know many will say "oh, I don't see the big deal, this is better for the X1 anyway", but the truth is, if the Xbox One cannot be marketed as having games Only On It, it will have a problem in the future being a strong sell. It's not just about people with no current gen machine, but PS4 owners, Wii U owners, and PC owners. Plenty of them don't have the machine, and with this kind of news, they have even less of a reason to buy one.

That said, don't misunderstand me, I don't expect all, non-PC owning, Wii U/PS4 owners to suddenly go buy expensive PC parts over buying an X1. That would be crazy talk. But, it leaves an aura about the Xbox brand that says "just wait for the PC version" - to either be announced for day-and-date, or for a future release.

I agree 100% and also with what you said earlier, that this is a consequence of poor Xbox One sales.

I think also that it's a huge mistake to make your console brand feel weaker and less exclusive in this way, long term. MS just keeps making mistakes.

PC gamers need some Quantum Break too.

Speak for yourself. the only thing I need is a better graphics card, I guess Quantum Break is nice too.

Lol no point in getting an Xbox at this point, unless you want the worse halo since ost

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

The requirement specs for the PC version have been updated:

The "ultra" spec still eludes me as they haven't directly stated what tech they are throwing in to require such power along with whether or not Ultra spec is meant for 2-4k gaming. Either that or they are going to throw in 4k textures or Nvidia Gameworks style "goodies" that require way too much power but offer little gains.

It seems you didn't even plan on getting an X1 anyway, you are only saying it just for the negativity.
