Plenty of them don't have the machine, and with this kind of news, they have even less of a reason to buy one. That said, don't misunderstand me, I don't expect all, non-PC owning, Wii U/PS4 owners to suddenly go buy expensive PC parts over buying an X1. That would be crazy talk. But, it leaves an aura about the Xbox brand that says "just wait for the PC version" - to either be announced for day-and-date, or for a future release. |
I agree 100% and also with what you said earlier, that this is a consequence of poor Xbox One sales.
I think also that it's a huge mistake to make your console brand feel weaker and less exclusive in this way, long term. MS just keeps making mistakes.
