Forums - Sony - Bad Xbox servers made my cousin switch to PS4. (He was a Xbox fan since 2005)

If i were him i wouldn't have sold it so i could get the bets of both worlds.

I thought about doing this when I got my XB1 but there is just no game that interest me at all. Which isn't surpsing because very few exclusives ever really interest me it's mostly multiplats I go for. I got it for Titan Fall which I thought would be amazing but it was so so bad so I returned it a week later. I decided I'd rather have my $500 then a system I'll barely use if ever.

My experience is that PSN performance is less stable than XBL... So I'm not sure that's the best reason to switch.

Key words.

I'm aware that experiences differ, which is why I made sure I included that bit. We wouldn't want anyone to interpret my statement as a fact. :)

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

Today I recieved shocking news from my Cousin... Since the original Xbox came out, he finally switched to Playstation! He had both PS2 and Xbox, He never owned a PS3 when he owned the 360. He got an Xbox One since last year and been complaining about how Xbox one needs to step it up to compete with PS4. Now the servers are acting bad, he got frustrated and sold all his XB1 games and currently saving money to get a PS4. This is a dream come true for me! because I knew him all my life and we always had different platforms so we couldn't play online together.... i just had to share this because this just proves even the die hard Xbox fans are switching to PS4. Anyone else know someone who switched to playstation this gen?

I was a 360 owner last generation, now it's PS4. So, he's not the only one. (of course, I also game on Wii-U)

You said, in your experience, there was an issue, and thus, said user shouldn't make the switch. I'm saying that your experience may not be what he experiences. Not an argument of fact vs opinion. :P

By that same token one would consider said cousin's experiences an opinion as well.

Since when is PlayStation better for online gaming than XBox?

Seems like a bit of a silly thing to do, but whatever floats his boat I guess.

Of course, but then, one never argued otherwise, either. :P

I thought by your enunciation of a person experiencing something was meant to differentiate it from the opening post - my mistake.

People switching over a minute of a problem as server issues always baffles me. The grass is never as greener on the other side as many are led to believe. Server issues are usually Provider issues, which have nothing to do with the consoles. And for actual Server problems...... THEY BOTH GET THEM!!!! Just at different time frames. I hear the same complaints and threats to jump ship every week from both sides.

That's taking it too far. ;)

Trust me, Xbox is only popular in the US and in the UK and maybe Canada. I know this very well since I live in Ireland, I know people from three different areas in the UK and various areas in continental Europe. Xbox is Dying or dead in most of Europe and well dead in Japan. Southern and central America have already made there mind up and if China don't push China made products on the people there then Sony will own that also not to mention India which is set for a billion people to gain means for gaming consoles in the next few years. And as I said, people here may have considered a 360 but that day is long gone, my local gamestop only takes a supply of xbox games to put on shelves with a few to sell, with exception for xbox exclusives and COD, Multiplats? they do not sell in an area of 100 -120 thouasand people. When the Xbox elite controller came out they got a stock of ten and last I check only sold 2, one of which was a gamestop employee.

X1 sales in Europe are still above the 360 not to mention that vgchartz is undertracking it in France and Germany so I wouldn't  even call it dead or dying if I were you.
