Forums - Gaming - FineBros have now lost nearly 500k subs since their PR disaster

Just incase anyone thinks 500k isn't a big deal when they've got 14 million you have to remember like 80% of those subs are inactive so they've lost a huge chunk of their most active loyal subs. This will severely damage them and set them back.

i think they worry more about the massive thumbs-down in each vid

Nah. YT vids still get promoted if they get thumbs down. It's better to ignore them.

nope

I really didn't mind them setting that whole thing up for people to use their react template as it is, after all, their template, and that's fair. What was ridiculous was thinking that they could own the very concept of "react" videos and went around shutting down all sorts of videos that really didn't follow their format at all.

I believe the Greeks had a word for people who start feeling themselves too much and feel they can throw their weight around without consequence... Hubris.

They got what they deserve for their dumb idea

Really? Well, there goes my theory of why haters make a nice living on YT.

I'm sure I remember Total Biscuit saying that a thumbs down on a video gets it promoted to trending/front page as much as a thumbs up would do. But that was a couple of years ago at least.

I do remember a youtuber saying the same thing, but who knows what the dislike button does. Maybe is there just to make viewers happy, thinking their opinion matters.

Hopefully they keep losing subs. Fuck those cunts, they are the 2016 version of Shane Dawson and RWJ.

I've watched a couple of their videos back then. Not really a huge fan of their works, but they really screwed up trying to copyright the word "React".

However, I feel like people will slowly forget about all this. I can be wrong, though...
