Oh and btw, yes, it is one of the best soundtracks of this gen in my opinion too, nothing less than superb in that regard.

Amen. So many amazing tracks; Windmill Hills, Scorch 'n' Torch, Big Top Bop...

Great taste right there. Scorch n Torch in particular is one my favourite DK songs ever, and for me DK has always had some of the very best songs ever in gaming.

Definitely; DKC1, 2, and Tropical Freeze are all among the best game soundtracks I've ever heard.

I never played returns bit played one of the country games on SNES, anyway I'm not a big fan off 2D games but TF is amazing I loved it

I dont, i wanted to put just 3 songs and I ended up putting 6 XD I had to stop somewhere.

Both lists together make an awesome playlist of DK goodness.

I actually liked Returns more, I belive it had more fresh level design ideas. In Tropical Freeze they added more features - more characters, underwater levels for example - but in the end I feel it was a little less inspired.

On soundrack, of course, TF completely outdid its predecessor.

Btw. This track is superb.

Years from now, I imagine this game will be considered a timeless classic.

Why'd you expect very little? It got top scores and sold over a million.

I have never been impressed by Retro studios & I don't judge a games quality by its reviews or sales. I find them interesting of course but they have very little influence on whether I get a game or not.

You've convinced me to give it another go. I finished it once apart from the bonus levels. It wasn't Metroid, so it sucked in my book. But I'm over that now so I'll give it another crack.

Glad I could convince you to give it another go
