Forums - General - Need a reason to get angry? Here you go

Wow...that does make me angry...and sad. I don't think I'll ever understand why people do stuff like this. There has to be something really wrong with you to be able to commit such crimes.

BTW...some thought this was in Mississippi, it's not...it is in Illinois. Illinois does have the death penalty...lethal injection.

Never is the theory that humans are above animals shown to have more holes than when something like this happens. How can any species claim that it is superior to all other life on the planet when they can actively and willingly engage in such horrendous acts? To say that it's an isolated incident does not change that it was human beings that did it.

That is the key part.  Animals do what they do primarily on instinct, which is why a loyal dog can suddenly turn on it's owner.

Humans do the stuff they do because they WANT to, which, in this particular instance, is far more disturbing than anything animals could do.

Actually, I don't think I've ever heard of an animal abusing another animal over a prolonged period of time like this. No, this is well beyond the capacity of animal intelligence. We may not be better than animals on the whole, but events like this only serve to reaffirm the differences between us and them.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

This doesn't make me angry, but it is sick, it's also sick that a disabled woman is pregnant.

It's hardly a very good supplementary argument to the idea that humans are superior to animals, however. That was rather my original point, which apparently got lost in the mix with an assumption that I was implying we are just like animals; quite clearly we are not for a number of reasons, both good and bad.

These people should be beaten and hung in the town square.

that makes you no better than the murderers (even though thats what they deserve)

instead they should just get a lethal injection in a dark room with only a few people watching. Probably the family of the victim.

To be honest, the part about her meing mentally retarded doesn't add anything to it IMO, just the fact she is being locked up and beaten is sick enough.

lol, yep, or how bout torturing and beating the people they love the most in front of their eyes over a year, before you murder them, and then torture murder the people as well.

That also makes me no better than the murderers, but it sure as hell makes revenge a lot sweeter.

There are varying degrees to villany. There isn't a lot of things a person can commit that "makes you no better" than these people.

In fact, I believe hanging this group of crooks on a public square would make the executioner a better man that I am, and certainly not as bad as these evil torturing murderers of an innocent mentally retarded pregnant mother.

Before you go shouting put them all to death I would like to know more about the teenagers and child, by the sounds of it they may have been completely controlled by this woman to such an extent that they literally lost control. Especially the child.

However the Riley and Woods ladies deserve to spend the rest of their lives in jails, this is the most disgusting abuse of one person I have ever heard of.

There's no excuse for the teenagers they should be put to death.

The death penalty was suspended in Illinois after it was found that nearly half the death row inmates were not guilty of the crimes they were charged with.
