Too bad my team the Patriots failed me... and my other team the Texans are a few years away from being competitive in the toughest division in the league, the AFC South.

I feel for your loss but I enjoyed watching you New England fans squirm during the Super Bowl. Hurts doesn't it? The Texans will never be competitive until they start having losing seasons instead of average ones. You can't make a large play in the draft unless you're at the top, which means you're at the bottom the prior season.
Sad to see Brett Favre gone. After such a winning season, it really leaves Green Bay in a losing situation come draft time to find a new Quarterback, as I don't think any noteworthies are floating on the free agent market. Real shame. I don't expect Green Bay to be a major player for a while now.

For Europe:
- Some years ago I would have answered Primera División (Spain, for those who are not famililar with European football).
- Some more years ago I would have answered Serie A (Italy).
- Today I have to answer Premier League (England).
It's no coincidence that 4 out of 8 teams in the upcoming Champions League's quarter finals are from England:
Roma - Man. United
Schalke - Barcelona
Fenerbahçe - Chelsea
Arsenal - Liverpool
My home country's league Bundesliga (Germany) is still good for some surprises, but - unfortunately imo - it's clear that it also has to open to big investors to compete with the big three in the future. I wished it stayed as old-fashioned as it is, even if this would mean that the league won't make it to continental quarter finals in the future, let alone winning the titles.
On a side note:
In my opinion the majority of outstanding players will always come from Brazil. Hundreds of great Brazilian players are working abroad (the Portuguese SuperLiga alone had 130 Brazilians in the 2006/2007 season).
If Brazil & Argentina would have the financial opportunity to hold their players, they'd have the two best leagues in the world (I think their leagues are already excellent, but I don't know enough about the South American league football to judge if their current leagues are superior or inferior to Europe's top leagues).

I like to think of the CFL as revenge for the NHL. After watching hordes of Canadians winning the Stanley Cup for American teams, it's fun to watch American football players compete for our amusement. ;p

American Football is a complete joke when it comes down to the name of the sport, the ball barely ever touches someones foot. Other than that, it's quite a cool game.
But back to Football. Premiere League has been changing and gaining in strength for 2 years now and finally we can see the outcome, 4 english teams in the champions league quarter finals. Add to that a couple in the UEFA cup. The gameplay is fantasticly offensive, you don't get bored even when watching Sunderland in action. By far the best FA out there right now.
Second best is Ligue 1. Them frenchies can boast brilliant technique and the matches are a real pleasure to watch. Sure that they lack in every other department in the sport other than ball handling techniqie, but still...it's fun
Third will be Orange Ekstraklasa.......the Polish League :P.....You know, it is my country's league.....have to support it.
