Forums - General - What is the best football league?

The Premier League is by far the best, and today is a very important day

Around the Network

For every person in this topic bitching about people referring to their favorite league in American Football terms and bitching that American Football is not real football can bite me. It's not american's fault our sport is named football and Association Football was nicknamed Soccer and it stuck. You can all blame the British for it. It was british school boys that nicknamed Association Football(the offical name of the sport) Soccer, not americans. You can also blame Britains for creating the confusion by seperating Rugby from Football. Football is now Soccer and you guys have layed your bed, now sleep in it.

NFC East is godly by the way. I lost my voice for two days out here on Long Island when my Giants pulled the upset. Brilliant defense, Spagnuolo is legendary.

Premier League. I think it's much more balanced than the other European leagues. In La Liga only two teams dominate (Barcelona and R. Madrid) and Serie A is a bit too defensive for my tastes.

Premier League is fast, aggressive, raw and fun. Good football.

Mexican League is good too, but my team does poorly in it >_>

Serie A...then Premier League...then Liga

The Spanish league is the strongest, therefore the best.

I agree with that

What the hell he was talking about soccer not american football the most important and famous sport in the whole world .... damn this USA people =D, no .. i won't say americans since i also live in america and am not from the USA :

1) 4 England Teams makes the quarter final of the Championship League, Spain have one

2) The best Spanish Player is playing in England now

if not South American players always prefer to play in Spanish League(because of language and work permit?), the gap will even wider

NFL .....AFC south the toughest division right now . My favorite team would be from the NFC north the Packers too bad Favre retired gonna be a hard year :(   ...yes I know your talking about the other football :) . But in football you start the game by kicking the ball off.

Premierleague ofcourse!!

I mean 4 english teams in quarter finals of champions league, 2 wins in san siro?  I mean its just logic aint it?

Premier League is the best ofc. Manchester United are the best team.

Top 3 leagues, as far as I'm concerned:

NFC East - Dallas, Philly, Washington and NY Giants. Wow.
NFC North - Minnesota, Green Bay, Detroit, Chicago
AFC North - Cleveland, Cinncinnatti, Pittsburgh, Baltimore

Those 3 leagues hold *about* 70% of the NFL titles, despite having under 40% of the NFL's teams.

Jajajajaja, best replay. Gooo Cowboys.

Its hard to say what is the best, because, on every league, only 3 or 4 teams are the best: Spanish (real madrid, barcelona, valencia, sevilla) italian (FORZA INTER YEAAAHHAHAH, milan, juventus, roma), english (manchester utd, chelsea, liverpool), Germany (bayer munich... aamm, thats all) and for america is the same, Argentina (boca and river). Mexico is the league where every team can be champion, 7 diferent champions in the last 10 tournaments. I really think than the most balanced league is the mexican, but, is not the best, so, i think than my answer is the premier league, then, italian.

It is widely known that the Spanish league has the strongest league because their midtable and bottom teams are stronger than any other league.

The EPL's top 4 may be stronger than than Spain's top 4, but the other 16 spanish teams are better than the English ones. That is La Liga's biggest strength and why they simply rape the other teams in Uefa Cup.

It's faulty logic. what is the point in only comparing the top 4 teams when there are 20 teams in each league? What about the other 16? I'll tell you, the other 16 english teams are nowhere near their spanish counterparts.

You only need to check their results at Uefa Cup (which is a better indicator of a league's strength than the CL)
