Doesn't really mean Miitomo will be on the dedicated gaming platforms, Miitomo is there to turn mobile into a Nintendo platform so anyone whose more into mobile will be bridged into the first party franchises with out the need to buy the hardware. This essentially means Mobile doing well adds to Nintendo's profits.

Miitomo is clearly designed for mobile and not dedicated gaming platforms going by the features, I doubt it can give anyone who buys the latter anything more that features like Miiverse and so on as well as games like Tomodachi, AC etc... already offer.

Ya not that bold of a prediction, it was always fairly obvious that increasing digital sales was a major focus of the new membership/rewards program. That however does not mean NX will be all digital.

Of course that alone doesn't mean NX will be all digital. That on top of literally everything else is what makes NX being all digital obvious.

With that in mind, the focus isn't at all to "increase digital sales," since once the NX comes in, everything will be digital sales. Increasing digital sales currently is just a side benefit to wean people off physical a little. My Nintendo is a NX core program, Nintendo confirmed that, and the real purpose is to create a constant stream of usable discounts for their controlled market place. They want to encourage people to buy more software period by letting save more the more they buy. This is why steam is successful. Nintendo is just doing the same thing through active rewards rather than passive sales. All digital only makes this process more efficient.

And THAT is what I predicted last year. Not that increasing digital sales is a major focus. It isn't. That's been obvious since the literal moment they announced the CN successor. They won't need to increase digital sales when NX will be digital only. And that's not bold.

That's what they said in the investor's meeting.

But we are thinking of mainly deploying free-to-start type apps as we hope as many people as possible among hundreds of millions of people all around the world who own smart devices will experience our apps. [...]

No I didn't misinterpreting their words, I just say that mobile games on NX are not impossible. Far smaller chances are that NX will digital only console. ;)

Yes, you were. You were implying that mobile games were likely on NX. They are not, any there's nothing to support that notion. Meanwhile, everything points to NX being digital only.

Like I wrote, no I didn't misinterpreting their words but I think there is chanche for mobile games on NX. While releasing digital only console will be shot in arm and leg for Nintendo, but of course they will not do that, at least not with NX.
