Well, apparently Quantum Break is nowhere to be seen on the Top 100 and it releases very very soon, so color me surprised!

If this game don't chart on the NPD like Forza 6 and Rise of the Tomb Raider...man oh man...

Releasing it on PC means anyone who games on PC that was thinking about an Xb one for this game will just get it on PC. But I can't imagine that was a very big number of people.

Remedy has a very vocal fanbase, but they are not a sales powerhouse. Max Payne did well, but ultimately it didn't turn into a huge IP. And Alan Wake did pretty well, but it's fan acclaim isn't backed up by large sales. Hopefully QB will do well, but I don't expect it to set the world on fire.

Has there been a developer that was most successful on PS when it was a multiplat developer that has made a highly successful transition to being console exclusive to Xbox?

The only one that comes to my mind is Insomniac Games, buy they didnt fare too good with being exclusive to Xbox.

That is a really great question you have, i would like to know too.

The deals are great for consumers but the problem with this picture is that it isn't manifesting in a win over the PS4. And considering the lead they had from last gen, its really odd that they have to do this at all.

Not sure if that is a fair question because there has never been an Xbox console that has outsold a Playstation console so the question automatically starts with Xbox at a deficit.

For me, the reason this problem remains is down to one simple mistake MS made in 2014. When they dropped the price for a 'limited period' and then when sales declined, dropped the price again, they sent out a clear message to their consumers: don't buy yet because if you wait there'll be some great bargains coming down the pipeline. MS have made it almost impossible to sell their console at the RRP. It didn't help that MS have said twice now that 'the last 4 months of the year is when the battle is fought.' Everyone was looking to Christmas, MS crammed all of their games into Christmas and MS then stated it was all about Christmas. Is there any wonder then that their consumers wait until Christmas? They still don't know how to market hardware or sustain a strong presence in said market.

Well as of the end of the 7th gen the x360 came in 2nd place but if you go after that the ps3 ended up outpacing the x360.

360 has a year headstart of the PS3.
The PS3 was ahead of the 360 basically all the generation concerning both year on year and release to date, until finally taking away that one year gap of the total sales.

A XBOX has yet to outsell a PlayStation.

He didn't clearly in his statement but when you sub out the headstart yes the ps3 sold just over 4ml more than the x360

I was not thinking about not counting the gap, but that PS3 with 1, 2, 3, 4, etc years was selling better than 360 with 1, 2, 3, 4, etc years, and also that in true competition, like who sold the most on 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, etc the PS3 was also winning, so the PS3 was winning in all front until it eventually also overcome the 1 year difference and also outspaced the 360 in total sales.

No matter how you look at it, the 360 lost to the PS3, basically during the whole generation. Globally, of course.

In that regard yes the x360 never outsold the ps3 globally per year but you cant deny it came 2nd thatt generation because of its headstart because at the end of 2013 the x360 had a bigger install base.
