Can someone explain to me why people like these generic Lego games? I have never, ever understood the appeal.

I personally loved Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, but are they really making a game with only one episode? That seems like it will be a pretty short game to complete =P

Because they are cool and a unique experience from the games that they are based on ;o?

But they're LEGOS... you know... the childrens building block toy? That is sold in the childrens toy section in every major retail chain? Why would I want to play a kids Lego version of a game that is also offered in a life like, real version for someone my age? It's like watching Barney instead of South Park. It just doesn't make sense to me why anyone would do that...

I'm surprised WB hasn't cancelled the PC version. That said I hope it won't be a shit port job because I quite like the Lego series.

It looks like they will expand the story to bridge VI and VII, so that would make more story levels, either way looking forward to this, I really like the Lego series.

The thing is that LEGO games are NOT generic. They're not cynical licensed bullshit. They put great emphasis on comedy and sometimes breaking the 4th wall. It's basically like Pixar movies. Made for kids, better enjoyed by adults.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
