I wonder if it's in other parts of the game. I would like to able to go in stealth whenever I want. It would make it much easier to level up or farm for gear since you're having to fight a full battle.

I assume the best items in the game will require you take on powerful enemies head on though.

That doesn't mean you can't use stealth to land the first attack or use hit and run attacks with it.

Though I will admit.

There is one thing I dont like about the game - and that is the fact that you just need to hold down the attack button to do combos which kinda sucks - wish it was more like Kingdom Hearts :(

I hope they changed that or gave a option that lets you manually press the attack button, oh well.

What? I never hold down the attack button. I continuously press it while attacking, and Noctis attacks in that regard.

They're trying to go more western because home consoles... that's where they are now. Square knows where the money is and they're trying to appeal as much as they can to the demographic while still retaining some Japanese sensibilities.

I liked what I saw in the trailer. I fully expect people to bash it though for supposedly not being a "real Final Fantasy game", which I didn't know there was a set formula for what made something a Final Fantasy game.

Just be good. Just please be good. Please have not gotten your hair stylists to do the writing like you did last time...

Personally I feel stealth like that hurts the game more than helps. I watched the trailer and the stealthing just seemed out of place and not necessary and felt like it didnt belong. Made it feel generic to me and like others stated, just like a MGS game.

Granted this game is still a day one for me, it still looks great, i just hope there isn't a lot of stealth missions or sections in this game like that from the trailer or else its going to turn me off from the game big time

Apparently having chocobos, magic spells/summons with the same names, same monster types, similar UI, terminologies, etc doesnt make it a Final Fantasy game :p.

Yeah, don't know what people expect. Maybe the same old game always? That's boring, I like that they're trying new things and honestly it's looking more exciting than ever!

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Series makes it's name by being a certain genre and style of gameplay. So they remove those features in a later game and people don't understand why people don't like it?

Hmm, pie.

Not sure what you mean. The game is still a JRPG with tons of classic FF elements like people mentioned above me. Only thing they changed is the combat, which is more like an action-rpg now. Don't know why a change on the combat system after 20 years would hurt the game/franchise. Btw, I think it's not like this is entirely new to the series... people say FFXII had an action oriented system as well (didn't play it, so I can't confirm this).
