Forums - Gaming - A Sony Pictures game is coming to Xbox One.

I knew it. Probably getting ready to get their IPs over to Xbox One because of the massive failure that is known as PS4.

Well Sony sold a studio that is now putting Playstation games on Xbox.

Maybe that inspired Sony to make extra money via Xbox!

It was delisted years ago. Well before rebooted even launched on PC.

For well over a decade hey?

I'm sure qbert for flash in 2004 represents an IP that has been exclusive to PS for well over a decade.

I guess we should just ignore the 2005 version of Qbert for PC only and the 2009 iOS release of Qbert.

Clearly these don't fall into the poor narrative you are spinning.

There is only 1 fact here, if the IP belongs to a division not PS, it can go anywhere the actual division of Sony who owns said IP chooses it to go.

Converstation over, you don't see any correlation of the IP being owned by Sony and its coincidental console exclusivity with Playstation.

We can move on.

Do you even know who brought Q Bert to PS3 back in 2007? SOE. SOE are that Sony studio who almost primarily made PC exclusive games. They had nothing to do with PS. And SOE is no more since its been disbanded.

Bingo! SOE, a Sony studio that coincidently was console exclusive to Playstation. Why? Sony avoided supporting its competitior with their IPs, that includes Q*Bert.

SOE didn't disband, they were sold, have a new name, and now support Xbox. That's the complete opposite of "disbanded."

Qbert was on the Dreamcast.

Your whole argument is now null and void. I notice you really like ignoring the facts.

No, you missed the post I mentioned the Dreamcast release back in 2000. Since then Q*Bert releases have been console exclusive to Playstation.

That is not true.

Steam, Android, IOS....

As multiple people have stated. Sony Pictures for all purposes acts as a seperate company. They lisence for a fee. Nintendo is lisencing Mario to Sony Pictures. Nintendo obviously doesn't see them as the same thing. There have been many Sony Pictures lisenced games on competing platforms, some exclusive to said platform. Think about that. That isn't more of a sign that Nintendo games will be coming to PS4 than this.

Let's look at some other examples:
Jeapordy a Sony Pictures property on the Wii-U, X360, Wii.
Wheel of Fortune a Sony Pictures property  Wii-U, Wii, DS.
Ghostbusters a Sony Pictures property PC, PS3, X360, Wii, DS, PS2
Spider-Man a Sony Picture Property Xbox, PS2, GBA, PSP
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Xbox One, PS4, X360, Wii-U, PS3, 3DS

Sony Pictures lisences a bunch of it's properties to third parties. This is no different. A third party paid for a Sony Pictures lisence.

You're the second person not familiar with the term console exclusive I guess.

Those other IPs are valid arguments. However, I still believe it wasn't coincidental Q*Bert was only on Playstation.

Q*bert a console exclusive?

Arcade, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari 8-bit family, ColecoVision, Commodore 64, Commodore VIC-20, Intellivision, NES, Philips Videopac, Mobile, Othello Multivision, Standalone tabletop, Texas Instruments TI-99/4A, Dreamcast, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Steam, Android, IOS, Xbox One.

Damn, I've never seen such a heated argument start over Q*bert. Anyways, I'm going to change the thread title to include Sony Pictures, so hopefully that will make everyone happy.
