If NX is unified, then Splatoon 2 should be available to way more than just 30 million owners.

Anything less than 55 million NXs I think would have to be a pretty huge disappointment seeing as how even the 3DS + Wii U will be in the 85 million range combined.

Don't expect the same attach rates of WiiU,, but of course we can expect it to sell more if NX is a succes, and if Splattoon 2 will be a worthy sequel.

Yeah, the attach rate percentages were just to show how successful Splatoon was on a low usebase.

Some people don't realise that Splatoon 2 almost certainly will be on handheld too.

Yeah, I agree. If they release it on both nx it could do even more than that. Just imagine if Splatoon was released for the 3ds, it would have sold like 1m more only in japan.

They need to do things right for the sequel. Do we know of any new franchise with a huge first seller and a bombed sequel? Nintendo related or not. I´m just curious.

It always shocked me the difference between wii sports and sports club, or wii fit and wii fit u. I know, I know, the difference in consoles sold is huge, but even with that in mind both games kind of underperformed.

Any of you think Splatoon 2 could underperform as well or the market have already spoken and they won´t get bored of it.

Based on your numbers NX would have to sell 30+ million before the Splatoon sequel even launches ...not going to happen.
Nintendo is even cannibalizing their handheld market to stay relevant.

Most 3ds users also owned the Wii U and many also bought multiple 'special edition' 3ds's....massive inflation of numbers there. You can't just combine numbers of separate products lol. 

Your going to be looking real silly when NX portable going to sell 15mil alone in Japan. You think nintendo HH is irrelevant? Not 1exclusive game on ps4 or X1 is close to top 3 3ds games (exclusive) in sales. 

Are you insane? No, most 3DS owners did NOT own the Wii U. Such a huge failure of math. Also, I'm positive that a strong majority of 3DS owners don't own a Wii U OR another 3DS.

Hmmm people are claiming that the NX will both be powerful and unify consoles/handhelds which would imply it being pretty costly to manufacture. In order to sell those numbers it would not be powerful (less powerful than xbone for sure) and not be unified. You guys can't have both ways. The 3DS have expensive at launch and had few games, Nintendo had to do massive price cuts and even pay developers to make games for the handheld. Their shareholders won't accept this a second time.

But I'm the 'silly' one.
