Yeah but DLC was never gonna be removed by Nintendo for obvious reasons. I know it's optionnal but I like this change, I was already scared on how to explain the purpose of this mini-game to my little brother when he'll play it.

Why? Where's the harm in touching someone's face?

Huh, there are a lot of harms. A shit ton of harms.

So I won't be able to poke people in the eye? Shame.

Thank you, based Nintendo.

"What do you do in this game?"
"Murder people."
"Cool."

"What do you do in this game?"
"Show affection to people."
"Disturbing."

I am not really bothered, but I'll never get our awkwardness around intimacy and comfort around violence.

Useless stuff anyway. They even could get rid of more fan service useless stuff. But hey, you don't want people to focus too much on the strategy mini game in Fire Emblem, right?

More seriously, they knew from the start what that thing was. Why did they validate this to remove it as soon as possible?

I honestly feel this issue is worse in the US, than it is in europe, much worse.

Like a bare brest in a movie, and everyone goes bonkers in the US.

But have a guy with a chainsaw hacking people up, thats just fine and dandy.

^ this.

This is NOT censorship. Stop using the word to try to inflame people's sensibilities. Censorship is when an external party (usually a government) legally prevents you from releasing your product unless you remove content.

All these recent claims of censorship is simply Japanese gaming companies wanting to maintain a certain image in the west. Which means they are either embarassed (most likely the reason in this case) or afraid of getting negative PR for racist, sexists or other culturally inappropriate content. Because it certainly has nothing to do with what gamers will buy and nothing to do with government interference.

It saddens me to see a developer's vision get compromised like that.

Agreed, I'd rather they show the whole package than trying to slice parts of it off.

Also how do you manage to get your avatar to fit with your disappointment?, I swear each avi you choose fits with what you say.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

It is censorship. It doesn't have to be done by an external party.

Example: You ****

That was censored. Wasn't do by any external party or government though.
