360 has been supposedly passing 10 mil since december of last year.. give me a break... next year ps3 sales will be even better.. their best franchises arent even being released this year.... you people are laughable.. hate hate hate

The 360 has never dipped below 100k units in NA. So, I wouldn't go as far to say the 360 was doing as bad as the PS3 is doing now.

I believe that 2008 will be much better for the PS3... Good exclusives and a price drop. Whether it will be too little, too late remains to be seen but I think it will have a good year. 

what both of you fail to realize is that .... that doesnt matter worldwide ps3 is still outselling the 360 on a monthly basis.... So ha... its not by a huge margin but never theless its still outselling it... imagine when sales pick up... and im talkin  in terms of launch aligned probably outselling it now too last time i chechked 360 was 6.6 ahead

Not anymore it's not. After the terrible showing in NA and Japan in April, there's virtually no way the PS3 is still outselling the 360. It was barely outselling it when it was moving 20k units in Japan and 130k in NA. Now that it's at a little more than half that number in those regions, the 360 should be outselling it handily now.

you 360 fans are ignorant... how can it be outselling handily when its sales numbers arent that good itself???   360 has Na thats it.... it will never outsell it handily ever!!!

Are you saying that the PS3 makes up around 85k sales on the 360 in Europe and Australia?

Oh you are all dead wrong. If this is the peak year for the 360 and PS3 than Nintendo is owning 80% of the video game market by 2011, simple as that. I think 2008 will be the 360's peak year, and 2009 will be the PS3's peak year. Fact is both system are priced out of the casual market right now. That's their biggest problem. At this time last gen remember the PS2 and X-Box were just $200. Now we have double that for the 360 and tripple that for the PS3. Until the 360 is down to $250, and the PS3 down to $350 or so, they're pretty much tech nut hardcore gamer systems only.

Im saying that the ps3 outsold the 360 by 55 thousand in japan alone in april so im pretty sure it outsold it especially in europe and australia.... do you ever look at the sales charts for other countries?? 360 is not the console to beat over there right now.. its between the wii and the wiii haha... with ps3 and 360 battling for 2nd.. but right now ps3 is winning the 2nd place battle

Because it has been well documented that the cost of producing ps3's is coming down. The technoligy is very new and sony have already found ways of cutting costs.
