Haha i must have seen thousands of these doom and gloom posts this year. The fact is the ps3 isn't selling well in japan and america because it is too expensive and doesnt have many quality games. Both those problems are going to be fixed sooner rather than later and when they do get fixed the sales will shoot up.

With Sony taking a loss and selling the PS3 at $600, how will the "price problem" be fixed sooner rather than later? Even if they get desperate and reduce the price of the system to $400, it will still be too expensive for most families.

 

Because it has been well documented that the cost of producing ps3's is coming down. The technoligy is very new and sony have already found ways of cutting costs.
